Date correction: The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics ended on February 22, 2026. Olympic figure-skating medal competition ended on February 19, with the exhibition gala scheduled for February 21. There is no current live Olympic figure-skating session to stream as of August 12, 2026.
If you missed the events, begin with NBC’s official figure-skating replay hub for any retained full replays and highlights. During the Games, the genuinely free U.S. option was local NBC over-the-air television; NBC’s online streams were free only with qualifying TV-provider authentication, while Peacock Premium was the comprehensive paid option.
The quick answer: what was actually free?
The phrase “free stream” covered several different access methods during the 2026 Winter Olympics. They were not equivalent:
| Viewer situation | Best official route | Was it truly free? |
|---|---|---|
| You had a TV, antenna and a receivable local NBC signal | NBC over the air | Yes, apart from equipment costs |
| You had cable, satellite or participating telecommunications TV service | NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app or NBC Sports app with provider login | Included with the qualifying pay-TV service, but not subscription-free |
| You wanted every session, venue feed and competition | Peacock Premium | No; it was a paid streaming subscription |
| You missed a competition | NBC’s figure-skating replay hub or Peacock replays | Availability and access can change after the Games |
| You were outside the United States or its territories | Your territory’s official Olympic broadcaster or rights holder | Depends on the country |
NBC’s own Olympic FAQ and figure-skating coverage information are the best references for the original U.S. access rules. Because the Games have ended, do not assume that a service’s former subscription price, replay library or authentication policy is still unchanged.

1. The genuinely free U.S. route was over-the-air NBC
NBC was the U.S. broadcast home of the 2026 Winter Olympics. If your local NBC affiliate carried a particular figure-skating broadcast, you could watch it without cable, satellite or a streaming subscription through a compatible television and antenna.
This was free broadcast television, not a universal free online stream. Reception depended on your location, the local NBC affiliate, terrain, building materials, antenna placement and the event window selected for NBC. Some figure-skating coverage was listed on NBC, while other programming appeared on USA Network or digital services. A USA Network listing was not automatically free because USA Network is generally part of a pay-TV package.
The FCC’s over-the-air television guidance explains that viewers can receive broadcast stations with an antenna. For a future Olympics or other NBC event, an indoor digital TV antenna can be a practical way to test the free local-broadcast option, but check local signal coverage before buying one. An antenna cannot receive a channel that is not available at your address, and it does not unlock Peacock or authenticated NBC streams.
2. NBC’s online streams were free only with TV-provider authentication
NBC made Olympic streams available through NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app and the NBC Sports app. Viewers generally had to sign in with credentials from an eligible cable, satellite or telecommunications television provider.
NBC described this access as carrying no additional online charge for authenticated customers. That wording matters: the stream was included with a participating pay-TV subscription, but it was not a no-subscription free stream. Someone without an eligible provider login could not treat NBCOlympics.com as a universally free alternative to Peacock.
The same distinction applied to device access. Installing the NBC app or NBC Sports app did not remove the authentication requirement, and watching on a phone, browser or connected television did not change the underlying rights.

3. Peacock was the complete option, but it was paid
Peacock Premium was NBCUniversal’s most comprehensive streaming route during the Games. NBC said it included the full Olympic broadcast, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, every sport and competition session, medal ceremonies and broader streaming coverage. For figure skating, that made it the most useful choice for viewers who wanted every group, venue feed, warm-up or session that was not selected for the television presentation.
NBC’s 2026 FAQ listed Peacock Premium at $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year during the Games. Those were event-period prices and should not be presented as guaranteed current prices after February 2026. Check Peacock directly for any present-day subscription terms.

4. Finding official replays and highlights now
Because live Olympic figure skating is over, the appropriate starting point is NBC’s official figure-skating replay hub. NBC said that full replays were posted on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com and the NBC Sports app after live competition. It also stated that full figure-skating replays were available on Peacock on the following day after the NBC simulcast concluded in each time zone.
Post-event libraries are not permanent guarantees. Rights agreements, geographic restrictions, platform retention policies and authentication requirements can change. The replay page may therefore show a mixture of full sessions, shortened replays, clips or highlights rather than an unrestricted archive of every skate.
NBC’s Olympic platforms also published free short-form clips and highlights. These are useful if a full replay is unavailable, but a highlight package should not be described as a complete event stream. For detailed scores, protocols and classifications, use the ISU Olympic results archive.

2026 Olympic figure-skating schedule
All Olympic figure skating took place at the Milano Ice Skating Arena. The competition schedule was:
| Event | Scheduled date |
|---|---|
| Team event | February 6–8, 2026 |
| Ice dance rhythm dance | February 9, 2026 |
| Men’s singles short program | February 10, 2026 |
| Ice dance free dance | February 11, 2026 |
| Men’s singles free skate | February 13, 2026 |
| Pairs short program | February 15, 2026 |
| Pairs free skate | February 16, 2026 |
| Women’s singles short program | February 17, 2026 |
| Women’s singles free skate | February 19, 2026 |
| Exhibition gala | February 21, 2026 |
The medal competition finished before the Olympic closing date. The exhibition gala was a separate post-competition event, which is why “figure skating ended February 19” refers to the scored Olympic competitions rather than every skating-related appearance.
Notable results to look for in replays
The ISU results system is the authoritative place to verify final classifications, protocols and segment scores. Among the individual results, the women’s podium was:
- Gold: Alysa Liu, United States — 226.79 points
- Silver: Kaori Sakamoto, Japan — 224.90 points
- Bronze: Ami Nakai, Japan — 219.16 points
In men’s singles, Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Shaidorov won gold with 291.58 points. Japan’s Yuma Kagiyama took silver with 280.06, and Japan’s Shun Sato won bronze with 274.90.

Which route should you use?
- You want a specific performance: Search the NBC figure-skating replay hub first, then check Peacock if the full session is not listed publicly.
- You want scores rather than video: Use the ISU results archive and protocols. This is more reliable than a highlight video’s description.
- You are preparing for a future Olympic broadcast in the U.S.: Check whether your address receives the local NBC affiliate, then consider an antenna for the over-the-air route. Review the broadcast schedule because not every session is necessarily shown on NBC.
- You already pay for television: Try NBC’s website or apps with your provider credentials. “Included” means your existing TV service qualifies; it does not mean NBC’s online coverage is open to everyone.
- You want every session: Compare the current Peacock plan and price directly with the official service. The 2026 event-period price is historical, not a promise of the current rate.
What to do if a replay will not play
- A video asks for a login: That may be a normal provider-authentication or Peacock requirement, not a playback error.
- The page says the video is unavailable: Rights may have expired, the replay may be restricted to a territory, or the platform may have replaced the full session with clips.
- The NBC channel is missing over the air: Rescan the television, check antenna placement and verify that your local NBC affiliate is receivable. An antenna cannot solve a coverage gap.
- The app will not load: Update the official app and device software, confirm your internet connection and try the broadcaster’s website. Avoid unofficial mirror sites offering a supposedly better feed.
- You are outside the U.S.: NBC’s online Olympic rights applied to the United States and U.S. territories. Look for your country’s official Olympic broadcaster or applicable rights holder instead.
International viewing and legal safety
NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, NBC apps and Peacock were U.S.-focused services. NBC expressly limited its online Olympic content rights to the United States and U.S. territories, so they should not be presented as a universal international solution.
Viewers elsewhere should use the official Olympic broadcaster or rights holder for their territory. Availability may vary by country, and a legitimate broadcaster may use a different app, subscription model or replay window.
Be cautious with websites promising “free Olympic streams,” especially pages that require an unfamiliar video player, browser extension, executable download, credit-card verification or repeated redirects. Such sources may be unauthorized, misleading, unavailable in your jurisdiction or unsafe. This guide does not provide piracy links or instructions for bypassing regional restrictions.
Bottom line
There is no live Milano Cortina 2026 figure-skating stream now because the Games are over. For post-event viewing, start with NBC’s official replay hub and use the ISU archive for verified results. During the Games, local NBC over the air was the clearest genuinely free U.S. option; NBC’s online streams required TV-provider authentication, and Peacock Premium was the paid route for complete coverage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free live stream of 2026 Olympic figure skating now?

Was Olympic figure skating free on NBC?
Some coverage was free through a local NBC affiliate received over the air with a compatible television and antenna. That depended on local signal coverage and the event selected for NBC. USA Network coverage was generally part of a pay-TV service.
Could I watch NBC Olympic streams online without paying?
NBC’s online streams were available without an additional online charge to viewers who authenticated with an eligible cable, satellite or telecommunications TV provider. This was not a subscription-free online stream.
Was Peacock free for the 2026 Olympics?
No. Peacock Premium was the comprehensive paid option. NBC’s FAQ listed event-period pricing of $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year, but those prices should not be assumed to remain current after the Games.
Where can I verify the figure-skating results?
Use the International Skating Union’s official Olympic results archive for final classifications, segment scores and protocols. NBC’s highlights can provide context, but the ISU archive is the better source for score verification.
The Bottom Line
In short: The 2026 Olympic figure-skating events are no longer live. Check NBC’s official replay hub for whatever full sessions or highlights remain, and use the ISU archive for authoritative results. The genuinely free U.S. viewing method during the Games was local over-the-air NBC; online NBC access required TV-provider authentication, while Peacock Premium was paid.
