These 15 facts trace that career while distinguishing WWE storylines from her documented business history. Her corporate titles are historical: she resigned as WWE chairwoman and co-CEO in January 2023.
Her early path through WWE
1. She modeled WWE T-shirts while still in middle school
WWE’s official profile says McMahon’s first connection to the family business was modeling Rockers T-shirts for the WWE Shop catalog while she was in middle school. It was an early exposure to the company, well before her executive career. WWE’s profile recounts the detail.
2. Her first documented business job was in sales
In a 2007 announcement, WWE said McMahon began as an account executive in its New York sales office. That is a more conventional corporate starting point than her later public profile might suggest. WWE’s September 14, 2007 announcement documents the role.
3. She worked toward an on-camera career at the same time
The same 2007 announcement says she was developing as a television personality while working in sales. Her public-facing wrestling work and behind-the-scenes business experience therefore overlapped rather than forming two entirely separate careers.

4. She moved into television production and creative work
Before the 2007 promotion described in the company announcement, WWE says McMahon wrote, produced and directed. Those responsibilities put her on the creative and production side of television, not only in front of the camera.
5. Her 2007 executive remit included talent relations
WWE promoted McMahon to Executive Vice President, Talent and Creative Writing in September 2007. The company said she would oversee writing for television and pay-per-view and manage talent relations—responsibilities spanning both programming and wrestler relations.

On-screen roles and wrestling history
6. She has portrayed a champion and authority figures
WWE’s profile lists Women’s Champion, SmackDown General Manager and Raw Commissioner among her career highlights. The General Manager and Commissioner positions are on-screen roles in WWE programming; they should not be confused with corporate executive titles.
7. She married her on-screen rival, Triple H
WWE’s profile says McMahon married Paul “Triple H” Levesque within months of her debut. Their relationship also featured in an on-screen takeover storyline. That takeover was scripted entertainment, not an account of how the real company changed hands.

8. Her role in the Women’s Evolution is part of a broader story
WWE credits McMahon as a driving force behind its Women’s Evolution. That is the company’s characterization of her contribution, not evidence that one person alone brought about the change. TIME’s July 2025 account of women’s wrestling history places WWE’s all-women Evolution event in a longer development and notes that women headlined WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Corporate roles and public service
9. She became WWE’s Chief Brand Officer in 2013
A WWE release published in 2014 says McMahon was named Chief Brand Officer in December 2013. At the time, the company described the role as involving brand reputation, business growth and ambassador responsibilities. This is a dated description of a past role, not a statement that she holds the title today. WWE’s October 15, 2014 release records the appointment and its responsibilities.

10. She was selected for an Eisenhower fellowship
On October 15, 2014, WWE announced that McMahon had been selected as one of nine U.S. leaders for the 2015 Eisenhower USA Fellows cohort. The selection is a public-service and leadership distinction separate from her WWE storylines. In that announcement, McMahon said she was honored to be selected; the figure of nine refers to the cohort described in the 2014 release.
11. She became co-CEO and chairwoman in July 2022
WWE announced in July 2022 that McMahon had been appointed co-CEO and chairwoman, following Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement. These were real corporate offices, unlike the authority roles she played on television. WWE’s July 22, 2022 announcement gives the appointment context.

12. She resigned those positions in January 2023
WWE announced on January 10, 2023, that McMahon had resigned as chairwoman and co-CEO. The appointment and resignation mark a brief but significant period in the company’s senior leadership history. The company’s announcement records her departure from those offices.

13. She and Levesque established Connor’s Cure in 2014
WWE’s corporate leadership page says McMahon and Levesque established Connor’s Cure in 2014 to further pediatric cancer research. The page documents the fund’s purpose and founding; it does not establish McMahon’s current operational role in the organization. See WWE’s Who We Are page.
14. Her more recent media work includes a podcast and a series
WWE’s profile lists Stephanie’s Places on ESPN+ and the podcast What’s Your Story? among her media projects. These credits show work beyond executive appointments and wrestling programming; the profile alone does not establish any broader streaming or business relationship.
15. Her career has moved between very different kinds of visibility
The documented path spans a merchandise catalog, a New York sales office, television writing and production, on-screen characters, brand work, executive leadership and media projects. That combination is unusual: her public identity has been shaped by both the performance side of professional wrestling and the corporate work of the company behind it.
