Spoilers for all three seasons. Belly and Conrad’s romance is built from small acts of attention, missed chances and hard-won reunions. This ranking weighs emotional intimacy, mutual vulnerability, what each scene changes in their relationship and how it pays off across the series. It is an editorial ranking, not an official list or a measured fan poll.
The Summer I Turned Pretty follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin and brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher through first love, grief and changing circumstances. Because Belly is approaching her sixteenth birthday in season one, the early moments here are best understood as young-adult first love, not adult romance. Amazon describes the series as based on Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy, though the television adaptation changes timelines and plot details. Prime Video’s series page presents the show and its episodes.
What are the most romantic Belly and Conrad scenes?
1. The Paris reunion (Season 3 finale, “At Last”)
The reunion ranks first because it gives their long, uncertain story an adult-scale payoff. By the finale, Belly has built a life away from Cousins and is in Paris for her twenty-second birthday. The episode’s official synopsis sets up an interruption to the future she expects; post-finale coverage describes Conrad arriving and the two ultimately reuniting. The romance lands not as a return to teenage certainty, but as a choice made after time apart and difficult decisions.
2. The car hair-touching moment (Season 1, Episode 1)
Conrad touching Belly’s hair in the car is intimate precisely because it is quiet and unannounced. Jenny Han said it was important to preserve the moment when adapting the first book, explaining that “when you’re a teenager, your only privacy sometimes is in a car.” She also called the exchange vulnerable for both characters. The scene establishes the charged attention that will shape the slow-burn story. TVLine’s interview with Han discusses the adaptation.

3. The season-one finale beach kiss (Season 1, Episode 7)
The kiss is the first season’s clearest answer to Belly’s long-held crush: for a moment, the possibility becomes mutual. Han described it as the thing Belly had wanted for a long time, saying, “It’s really almost like time stops for a minute and you just have to go with it.” The scene’s romance comes from that release of anticipation, not from resolving the complications that will follow.
4. The Christmas-night reunion at the beach house (Season 2, Episode 2)
Before the relationship begins to fray, Belly and Conrad sneak away to Cousins and share an intimate night together. Des’ree’s “Kissing You” gives the scene a tender, suspended mood, and Lola Tung described it as a special expression of their connection in coverage by TVLine. It matters because it shows the couple inhabiting a private closeness, rather than merely longing for one another.

5. The debutante-ball final dance (Season 1)
Jeremiah is meant to be Belly’s date, but when he is unavailable, Conrad steps in for her final dance. Unlike the private car moment or beach kiss, this is a public gesture: Belly’s crush becomes visible to the people around them. The dance is a slow-burn payoff in its own right, distinct from the finale kiss that makes their romantic choice explicit.
6. The winter cocoa scene (Season 2)
Alone at the Cousins house in winter, Belly and Conrad share hot chocolate from a Simpsons mug and kiss. The ordinary props make the scene feel personal, while the winter setting separates it from the beach-season memories that usually define their relationship. Han wrote the episode and carefully shaped its visuals and music. Recalling the actors resisting their winter layers, she joked, “Put! Those! Sweaters! On!” in an interview with TIME.
Rank #3

7. The peach scene (Season 3, Episode 5, “Last Dance”)
The peach scene stands out as a memorable book-to-screen moment, but its romantic force is less about innuendo than familiarity and tenderness. The episode shifts into Conrad’s perspective, changing how viewers read the moment. Christopher Briney discussed the scene and its filming in coverage of the episode; the shift in perspective gives this small interaction new weight within the couple’s history.
8. The return to Cousins (Season 3 finale)
After the Paris reunion, Belly and Conrad return to Cousins together. It is a quieter closing image than the reunion itself, but it connects their adult decision to the place where the relationship began. The setting functions as an emotional bookend: the past is still part of their story, but they arrive there together after living through years of change.

9. Conrad joins Belly’s wedding planning (Season 3, Episode 5)
With Jeremiah at work, reluctant Conrad gets pulled into wedding planning with Belly, according to the official episode description. The premise creates proximity and tension: the two are forced to spend time together at a moment when their shared past is difficult to ignore. This ranks below the more decisive milestones because the setup establishes an opportunity for charged interaction, rather than an unmistakable romantic turning point on its own.
10. The first-season finale as the culmination of the slow burn
The beach kiss is ranked above as a specific scene; here, the finale earns a separate place as the payoff to season one’s full progression from attention to public possibility to mutual choice. The debutante dance lets others see what has been building, while the finale closes the season with Belly and Conrad together. Prime Video’s promotional “Most Romantic Scenes” and “Top Searched Scenes” videos are not an authoritative ranked top ten, so this list makes no claim to represent a universal fan consensus.

When do Belly and Conrad get together?
They share their first-season finale kiss in Season 1, Episode 7, after Conrad takes Belly’s final dance at the debutante ball. That is the point when the mutual romance becomes explicit. Their relationship continues into season two, where private moments such as the Christmas-night reunion and winter cocoa scene show their closeness before the relationship deteriorates. Their story remains complicated by Jeremiah, grief and changing life circumstances.
What is the cocoa scene?
It is a season-two scene at the Cousins house in winter in which Belly and Conrad share hot chocolate from a Simpsons mug and kiss. Jenny Han wrote the episode and discussed the care put into its visuals and music in TIME.
Do Belly and Conrad end up together?
Yes. The season-three finale, “At Last,” brings the story to Paris for Belly’s twenty-second birthday and ends with a romantic reunion between Belly and Conrad. Post-finale coverage also describes their return to Cousins together. Season three is the released final season, with an 11-episode run; the ending is the series’ conclusion, not a promise of a further season.
