Spoilers for character arcs and the finale of KPop Demon Hunters.
Likability in KPop Demon Hunters isn’t the same as innocence: the most compelling characters can be funny, loyal, or vulnerable and still cause serious harm. This subjective ranking weighs warmth, humor, empathy, loyalty, memorable choices, and the difference between a character’s motives and the consequences of their actions. Netflix’s character descriptions provide context, not a canonical ranking or audience poll.
Netflix identifies HUNTR/X as Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, performers who secretly hunt demons to protect their fans, with the Saja Boys as their rivals. The official sources do not define a definitive set of ten characters, so this list explains its scope: the ten named characters ranked here are the central HUNTR/X and Saja Boys members, their demon master, and key human figures in the story. It is an editorial selection, not an official Netflix top ten.
How this likability ranking works
The order reflects how each character comes across in the film, not a score or measurable consensus. Warmth, comic appeal, empathy, loyalty, growth, and screen presence matter, as does the gap between intention and impact. A sympathetic motive can make a character understandable without excusing the harm they cause.

The ten-character scope is a deliberate selection of the principal and recurring figures most relevant to the central conflict. Netflix’s official character guide offers descriptions of several characters, but it does not establish a definitive ten-person roster or rank them by likability.
10. Gwi-Ma
Powerful, but hard to like
As the demon king who bargains with Jinu and benefits from the Saja Boys’ campaign, Gwi-Ma stands for coercion and exploitation. The film gives little of the warmth or humor that makes other characters appealing; his influence is chiefly felt through the damage others do in his service. He ranks last because power and menace do not make a character sympathetic.
9. Bobby
A human presence on the sidelines
Bobby’s role as HUNTR/X’s manager places him close to the trio’s public life, but he is not one of the film’s principal demon-fighting or moral-conflict figures. He has less opportunity than the leads to show loyalty, growth, or a complicated motive. That smaller footprint—not a claim that he is malicious—puts him near the bottom of a ranking based on character appeal.
Rank #2
- Set of 3 Huntr/x includes Rumi, Mira and Zoey from KPop Demon Hunters first series vinyl figures
- Each individual comes with original packaging and will be bundled with a premium box protector
8. Celine
Care and pressure in Rumi’s past
Celine’s connection to Rumi’s upbringing gives her story emotional weight, especially as Rumi struggles with the secret she fears will separate her from the people closest to her. Her place in this ranking reflects the tension between care and the burdens placed on Rumi, rather than the immediate charm or comic energy of the younger characters.
7. Mystery
Style and presence
Mystery adds to the Saja Boys’ polished, attention-grabbing image. That performance is part of the group’s attempt to win HUNTR/X’s fans, so the charm has a manipulative edge. The character has presence, but less individually explored emotional depth than the figures ranked higher.
6. Romance
Appeal with a purpose
Romance helps make the Saja Boys attractive rivals, and that appeal is central to their plan to draw fans away from HUNTR/X. The character’s likability is therefore double-edged: charisma works on screen even as it serves a harmful strategy. Romance lands in the middle because the performance is memorable, while the film gives less personal context than it does to Jinu.

5. Abby
Part of the Saja Boys’ collective charm
Abby contributes to the group’s confident, coordinated image, which helps explain why the Saja Boys are effective competitors for HUNTR/X’s audience. But the group’s goal is to weaken the Honmoon and open a path for demons into the human world. That consequence limits how far their polished act can carry them on likability.
4. Zoey
The youngest member, eager to help
Netflix’s cast guide describes Zoey as HUNTR/X’s youngest member and resident rapper, eager to please and fiercely protective of her friends. Those qualities make her easy to root for: she wants to contribute, and her loyalty is directed toward people she cares about rather than personal advantage. Her openness and energy earn her a high place among the ensemble.

Rebellious, perceptive, and passionate
Netflix describes Mira as spirited and rebellious, but also perceptive about her bandmates. That combination gives her appeal beyond attitude: she notices the people around her and brings a strong point of view to the trio. Her passion can make her sharp-edged, yet it is matched by connection and loyalty, placing her just behind the top two.
Rank #4
- Inspired by KPop Demon Hunters, HUNTR/X's lead singer Rumi can now hunt demons in 6.2-inch action figure scale!
- Rumi figure is ready for epic adventures with 21 points of articulation, 2 additional faces and 2 additional hands.
- Being a global K-pop star works up an appetite so Rumi figure comes with a kimbap roll, a ramyeon cup & Four Tiger Sword – you never know when a demon could appear!
- Fit check! Rumi figure is dressed in her "How It's Done" performance look.

2. Jinu
A sympathetic past does not erase the harm
Jinu is the Saja Boys’ lead singer and was once human. Netflix’s cast guide says he sold his soul to Gwi-Ma for musical talent and fame; actor Ahn Hyo-seop describes the choice as an attempt to protect Jinu’s family. That motive makes his story more sympathetic, while the guide also stresses that he remains a demon who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
The Saja Boys’ effort to steal HUNTR/X’s fans and weaken the Honmoon makes Jinu’s choices consequential, not merely theatrical. His vulnerability and remaining warmth invite empathy, and his pivotal choice in the finale gives his arc emotional force. But understanding why he made a dangerous bargain is not the same as absolving him of what follows.

A leader learning to face her secret
Rumi tops the ranking because her conflict brings leadership, fear, and growth together. Netflix describes her as HUNTR/X’s confident, ambitious, hardworking leader, whose positive public manner masks anxiety that her secret will be discovered. Her struggle is compelling because she wants to protect her friends and fans while fearing that honesty could cost her their acceptance.

Her changing understanding in the finale makes her more than a capable leader: she has to reconsider what belonging and protection mean. Rumi’s likability comes not from being flawless, but from the way her choices reveal both the burden she carries and her capacity to change.
Why the trio works as a team
Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are not interchangeable versions of the same heroine. Rumi leads while hiding a source of fear; Mira brings rebellious energy and perceptiveness; Zoey contributes eager, fierce loyalty. Their differences are part of the group’s appeal. In a Netflix Tudum feature published January 23, 2026, production designer Mingjue Helen Chen said of HUNTR/X’s color philosophy, “She didn’t want to pigeonhole the girls into one personality.” Animation director Josh Beveridge described their visual unity this way: “They don’t look coordinated, but they belong next to each other.”
