Anime Corner’s 2025 year-end audience poll put Takopi’s Original Sin first among anime series, followed closely by The Summer Hikaru Died. Here are the poll’s ten highest-ranked series, in its published order. The percentages are shares of votes reported in the ranking—not viewer ratings or measures of overall viewership. “Greatest” is subjective, and this audience poll is one snapshot, not a verdict for every fan, territory, or platform.
Anime Corner’s top 10 anime series of 2025
The ranking below follows Anime Corner’s overall series poll. Its results article reports each title’s share of votes; it does not establish a universal measure of quality or popularity.
- Takopi’s Original Sin — 7.98%. The poll’s top-ranked series.
- The Summer Hikaru Died — 7.89%.
- The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 — 7.21%.
- My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON — 7.04%.
- To Be Hero X — 6.23%.
- Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 — 5.38%.
- Gachiakuta — 5.25%.
- The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity — 5.05%.
- DAN DA DAN Season 2 — 4.97%.
- Spy x Family Season 3 — 4.56%.
Anime Corner’s full 2025 results also report category awards and turnout figures. Those counts belong to their respective categories—for example, 15,349 voters for Best Action, 12,539 for Best Anime Movie, and 14,459 for Best Storytelling. They should not be combined or read as a count of unique voters across the site.
What this ranking includes—and leaves out
This is a series ranking, not a list of every notable anime release of 2025. Anime Corner reports films separately, so movies are not mixed into this top ten. The poll order also includes different kinds of series entries: individual seasons, a final season, and titles without a season number in their listed names. The percentages let you compare their reported poll vote shares, but do not show how critics, other audiences, or streaming markets ranked them.

Why the 2025 Crunchyroll Awards are a different reference
The 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards recognized anime from 2024, rather than serving as a ranking of shows released in 2025. Crunchyroll’s nominee announcement listed DAN DA DAN, Delicious in Dungeon, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Kaiju No. 8, Solo Leveling, and The Apothecary Diaries among its Anime of the Year contenders; Solo Leveling won. The subsequent 2026 ceremony is the more relevant awards-year reference for anime associated with 2025 releases, but its winners should not be substituted for this broader audience poll.
Sony Group reported that the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards drew 51 million votes. That total measures votes cast in the awards, not anime viewers or support for any single title. At the ceremony, Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini said: “Fans form deep emotional connections to anime. These are not just series, films or songs, but rather works of art that help define the identity of anime fans.” Sony Group reported the statement and awards results.
