As of October 8, the schedule includes titles already premiered and others still to come; check each show’s current Apple TV listing for episode availability. The picks are selected for variety of genre, premise and release status—not as an official Apple ranking.
How to use this fall shortlist
Fall here means the September–November 2026 release window, and availability below reflects a US-focused snapshot dated October 8, 2026. A premiere date does not by itself establish whether every episode is available at once or released weekly, so consult the title page for the current episode schedule.
Apple’s catalog and release announcements verify several dates, but do not publish a comparative score or definitive list of the season’s best shows. The two dated returning series and two upcoming titles below are specifically supported by those announcements. The remaining six are useful discovery categories rather than verified individual recommendations: their titles and current fall status should be confirmed in Apple’s catalog before choosing what to watch.
Four fall series with verified dates
Slow Horses, season 6 — premiered September 16
Apple’s press listing gives September 16, 2026, as the season-six premiere date. This is a returning spy drama, not a new-series launch. Check Apple’s Apple Originals listings for current episode availability and the season’s official description.
#1 Best Overall
- 4K High Dynamic Range (Dolby Vision and HDR10) for stunning picture quality
- Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound
- A10X Fusion chip for ultra-fast graphics and performance
- Voice search by asking the Siri Remote
The Sisters Grimm, season 2 — premiered October 2
Apple announced an October 2, 2026, premiere for the second season of this returning animated fantasy series. The announcement establishes the premiere date, not whether the full season is now available; confirm the episode schedule on Apple’s title listing.
Where’s Wanda?, season 2 — upcoming October 21
Apple’s US coming-soon page listed the second season for October 21, 2026. As of October 8, it was still upcoming, so it should not be described as streamable yet. Check the listing again on or after the scheduled date.

Nocturne — upcoming October 30
Apple’s US coming-soon page listed Nocturne for October 30, 2026, and labels it crime/thriller. That makes it a forthcoming option for viewers who prefer crime stories, not a show available at the October 8 snapshot.
Six more ways to find a fall watch
The official catalog and 2026 slate offer more series to explore, but the dated evidence available for this shortlist does not establish six additional title-specific fall recommendations. Rather than invent names, dates or plot descriptions, use these genre and format filters in Apple’s current catalog to choose six further candidates that match your taste.
