Its case rests on the character’s power and connection to Namor—but “perfect” is an opinion, not an official Marvel Studios designation, and the available summary does not say Marvel has announced him for an MCU project.
Who is the proposed villain?
The character named in the article summary is Imperius Rex. The summary associates his comics debut with Giant-Size Fantastic Four #1; because a primary Marvel issue record was not available to verify that detail, it is best treated as an attributed claim rather than a confirmed publication fact.
Why does the article call him a strong fit?
ScreenRant’s stated argument is that Imperius Rex combines significant power with a connection to Namor. That connection could give a Fantastic Four story a route into conflict involving the team and the undersea world, but the available summary does not provide enough detail to assess a specific plot or compare his power with other Marvel characters.
Has Marvel confirmed Imperius Rex for the MCU?
No official Marvel Studios confirmation appears in the available material. The article concerns a possible fit, not a reported casting, project announcement, or confirmation that the character will appear. Calling him the team’s “perfect” MCU villain is therefore the article’s judgment, not a statement of Marvel’s plans.

What the available source establishes
An IMDb News page carried a summary attributing the March 3, 2024 article to Spencer Connolly and ScreenRant. The underlying ScreenRant page could not be opened, and no primary Marvel source was retrieved. The supported takeaway is narrow: the summary identifies Imperius Rex and cites power and a Namor connection as reasons he might work. It does not establish an MCU debut.
