ABC replaced the planned November 6, 2025, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a repeat of the October 28 episode. The show and network had not publicly explained the change in contemporaneous coverage. Musical guest Madison Beer said her performance was being rescheduled because of “unforeseen circumstances”; a report that the cancellation involved a personal matter was unconfirmed.
What changed on November 6?
LateNighter reported that the planned Thursday taping was unexpectedly canceled late that afternoon, and ABC aired a repeat of the October 28 episode instead. The scheduled guests were David Duchovny and Joe Keery, with Madison Beer as musical guest. Her performance had been pre-recorded, according to LateNighter’s November 6 report.

What reason was given?
Beer posted: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.” That was the public explanation from the musical guest, not a statement explaining why the program’s episode was changed.
LateNighter reported that it understood the cancellation was related to a personal matter, but did not provide a publicly confirmed explanation. TV Insider’s November 7 follow-up likewise said ABC and Kimmel had not commented, and attributed the personal-matter account to LateNighter. It should therefore be treated as unconfirmed, not as an established cause.

Was the canceled episode rescheduled?
TV Insider reported that new episodes and guests were listed for the following week. The contemporaneous reports cited here do not establish whether the November 6 episode itself was later broadcast.

The “Thursday” in the headline means November 6, 2025—not an upcoming Thursday. ABC’s schedule page for the week of October 5, 2026 lists the program on weeknights at 11:35 p.m. Eastern and notes that episodes are subject to change. That later schedule provides current scheduling context, not evidence about the reason for the 2025 change: ABC’s schedule for the week of October 5, 2026.
