The highest precise movie-pay figures reported for Chris Pratt are $12 million for Passengers and $10 million for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. A later estimate puts his pay for Jurassic World Dominion at $12 million to $14 million, but that range is less firmly supported. None of these figures comes from a published contract, so they should be treated as reports or estimates—not verified totals.
Chris Pratt’s highest reported movie paychecks
The strongest specific reports identify Passengers as a $12 million role and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as a $10 million role. Celebrity Net Worth later estimated $12 million to $14 million for Jurassic World Dominion, which would put it at the top by amount, but the estimate was not independently corroborated in the sources reviewed.
| Film | Year | Reported or estimated pay | What the source supports |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jurassic World Dominion | 2022 | $12 million–$14 million | Celebrity Net Worth’s August 2026 secondary estimate; not independently corroborated. Celebrity Net Worth |
| Passengers | 2016 | $12 million | Forbes reported the figure in 2015 and again in 2016; contract terms and any backend are not established. Forbes |
| Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom | 2018 | $10 million | ABC News summarized a Variety report; this is reported pay, not a published contract. ABC News |
| Jurassic World | 2015 | Moderate seven figures, below $10 million | Forbes estimated the upfront compensation in this range. Celebrity Net Worth later put it at about $5 million, also a secondary estimate. Forbes; Celebrity Net Worth |
| Guardians of the Galaxy | 2014 | Low seven figures upfront | Forbes estimated the upfront amount and said Pratt likely did not receive a share of the film’s profits. Forbes |
| The Tomorrow War | 2021 | No supported figure found | Sky News’ interview about the film does not give a salary figure. Sky News |
This is a shortlist of supported reports, not a definitive ranking of every Pratt film role. Ranked by the strength of the available reporting, Passengers and Fallen Kingdom have the clearest precise figures; the higher Dominion range remains a less certain estimate.
How to read the salary figures
A movie salary is not annual earnings
Forbes estimated Pratt’s earnings at $13 million for the period June 1, 2014, through June 2015. That figure covered earnings across the period, not a single film salary. Forbes said its highest-paid-actors list measured earnings before management fees and taxes and drew on Nielsen, Box Office Mojo, IMDb, and interviews with agents, managers, lawyers, and stars. Upfront pay is not necessarily total compensation
Forbes described the Guardians of the Galaxy figure as upfront compensation and said Pratt was unlikely to have shared in the film’s profits. A movie’s box-office gross cannot be used to calculate an actor’s paycheck, and the available reporting does not establish contract terms or total compensation for the films listed here.
The figures are reports, not verified contracts
The public sources cited here do not include Pratt’s underlying contracts. Forbes’ Passengers coverage is contemporaneous with the salary reporting, while the Dominion range comes from Celebrity Net Worth’s later secondary estimate. Attribute each number to its source rather than presenting it as an undisputed contract amount.

What the reported pay suggests about his career
The reported figures show a contrast between Pratt’s earlier franchise pay and later high-profile roles: Forbes placed his upfront compensation for Guardians of the Galaxy in the low seven figures and his Jurassic World pay in the moderate seven figures, while later reports put Passengers at $12 million and Fallen Kingdom at $10 million. These figures illustrate reported role-by-role pay, not a complete accounting of his earnings.
