Several foods, cuisines, and variations
Emily Ratajkowski: sushi, Thai, and Italian
Emily Ratajkowski did not settle on one dish when Vogue asked about her favorite food. She answered, “That’s tough, sushi, Thai, Italian. It goes on,” in a 2015 interview. Her response names cuisines and a food, rather than a single recipe.
Dolly Parton: potatoes, however they are served
Dolly Parton’s answer spans several preparations: French fries, mashed potatoes, and baked potatoes. ABC News reported these remarks from her WIRED interview on October 8, 2020. Parton joked, “Every diet I ever fell off of has been because of a potato,” and added, “I never met a spud I didn’t like.” ABC News’ account describes both her food preference and cooking habits.
Rank #2
Padma Lakshmi: lentils and rice, with fried chicken in the mix
After filming Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi described lentils and rice as a possible favorite or comfort food, and also mentioned fried chicken. Bravo reported the comments following her 2019 appearance on The Daily Show; the account does not reduce her answer to one exclusive favorite. Read Bravo’s account.
When there is no one answer
Stanley Tucci: no single favorite
Asked about a favorite food on Good Morning America, Stanley Tucci replied, “I don’t have one. There is no such thing.” In the February 3, 2022 interview, he said he would have difficulty living without pasta, but that many different dishes can be exceptional. ABC News’ interview report captures his resistance to choosing just one.
Rank #3
Hasan Minhaj: the answer depends on the situation
Hasan Minhaj questioned what “favorite food” meant in the moment—food at home, in a restaurant, or late at night—before describing a sandwich he calls the Minaji Trois. In WIRED’s Autocomplete Interview, he listed wheat bread, chipotle mayonnaise, chicken breast and/or turkey, and pepper jack cheese. That is a signature sandwich within a context-dependent answer, not proof of one all-purpose favorite.
Chris Evans: jelly beans
Chris Evans named jelly beans in WIRED’s Autocomplete Interview, while joking about whether they count as food.

What these answers do—and do not—show
Together, the interviews show how varied the answers can be: a single ingredient or dish, a broad cuisine, a food with many preparations, or no single favorite at all. They are personal responses given in particular interviews, not a representative survey. They cannot establish which foods celebrities generally prefer or support a ranked list of celebrity favorites.
