MTV has published selected follow-ups about Catfish: The TV Show couples, but the available sources do not verify a complete, up-to-date list of where they are now. The clearest answer is that an episode’s ending shows what the people decided then—not whether they stayed together. Here is what the documented follow-ups establish, and what they do not.
What counts as “after the show”?
Catfish: The TV Show follows people in online-only romantic relationships as they meet in person, according to Paramount Press Express. That premise makes the episode’s ending a snapshot: a couple may decide to try dating, remain friends, or part ways, but the decision alone cannot establish what happened months or years later.
For a reliable update, the episode-ending decision and a later, dated follow-up need to be treated separately. A past report can establish what was reported at that time; it should not be presented as a confirmed 2026 relationship status.
What the available follow-ups say
MTV’s selected happy-ending retrospective
On November 17, 2019, MTV published “5 Catfish Couples w/ Twist Happy Endings,” a retrospective about five couples who tried their relationship after meeting in person. MTV describes happy endings as atypical for the show. The video is a selection of cases, not a comprehensive roster, and it does not establish the couples’ current status.

A “Where Are They Now?” episode
Apple TV lists an episode titled “Where Are They Now?” as Season 4, Episode 12 of Catfish: The TV Show. The Apple TV listing confirms that follow-up content exists. It does not establish that the episode is available in every region or verify the participants’ present-day circumstances.
Breana and Joshua
Bustle published a post-airing report about Breana and Joshua in 2018. That is a historical update, not evidence of their relationship status in 2026. The available information here does not establish a newer reliable update, so it would be misleading to say whether they are together now.

What can—and cannot—be concluded
- Established: MTV has produced selected retrospective material about couples who tried dating after meeting in person.
- Established: The show has a follow-up episode listed as “Where Are They Now?”
- Not established: A complete list of the couples’ later outcomes or a verified current status for every couple mentioned in these materials.
- Not established: A breakup rate or other percentage for the show’s relationships.
The title does not identify which couples it means, so no selected set of examples can stand in for every couple on the series. MTV’s retrospective, the Apple TV episode listing, and the 2018 Breana-and-Joshua report each offer a different kind of evidence; none is a current-status database.
