What songs are in “History of Duets”?
The official video description confirms these songs and performers:
- “For Good,” associated in the description with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande
- “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
- “Shallow,” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
- “The Boy Is Mine,” by Brandy and Monica
- “APT.,” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars
- “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes
The description says the medley includes more songs but does not provide a complete track list. Rolling Stone’s November 20, 2025 report also names “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better),” “A Whole New World,” and “Suddenly Seymour.” Those are reported highlights, not an official exhaustive list.

When did it air, and why was Grande on the show?
The segment appeared in the November 18, 2025 episode. Getty’s caption for NBC identifies Grande and Fallon in the segment on that date. Rolling Stone reported that Grande appeared ahead of Wicked: For Good. The Television Academy’s 2026 ballot also describes the episode as featuring Grande and a musical trip through “History of Duets.”

“History of Duets” is a Tonight Show performance segment, not a standalone song release. The show’s video description calls it “a medley of the greatest duets of all time,” and the selections range across pop, Broadway, and film songs.
