Spoiler: Alice is killed during the Bangkok operation in the Season 2 premiere. Solomon shoots her after she reconnects with Peter. Brittany Snow appears again in Episode 2, but only in flashbacks showing Alice training him—not as a living return.
Who is Alice to Peter?
Alice is Peter Sutherland’s mentor and partner on his first Night Action assignment, not a new romantic partner. Season 2 begins about nine months after the first season, with Peter sent to Thailand for a dangerous mission, according to Netflix’s Season 2 guide.

How does Alice die?
In Bangkok, Alice and Peter investigate Warren, a high-level American intelligence officer they suspect is involved in an intelligence leak. During the operation, Alice separates from Peter to follow Solomon while Peter pursues Warren. When Alice and Peter reconnect, Solomon shoots her. TVLine’s account of the premiere says he shoots her in the back and fires again while she is down (TVLine’s recap).
Does Brittany Snow come back after Episode 1?
Snow appears in Episode 2 flashbacks that show Alice training Peter. Those scenes look back at their earlier partnership; they do not undo her death or show her returning alive. The season account reported by TVLine says Alice is not seen again after those flashbacks.

Why was Alice introduced—and killed—so early?
Creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan told TVLine that casting Snow, a recognizable and well-liked actor, helped viewers connect with Alice quickly and experience her death through Peter’s perspective. Ryan described the familiar face as “a bit of a shortcut” because many viewers know and like Snow (TVLine’s report and interview).
Ryan also explained that he wanted the season to begin with Peter already working in the field rather than spending too much time showing him train to become a Night Agent. He made that point in Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 preview.
