Yes. Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman confirmed the festival’s return on October 17, 2024, announcing three two-day events for 2025. The dates have now passed, and a July 2026 Los Angeles Times interview described the revival as having taken place.
What happened to Warped Tour?
The full cross-country Warped Tour ended in 2018. A 25th-anniversary event followed in 2019, but the next announced return was a different format: three two-day festivals in 2025, promoted as a 30th-anniversary celebration. Founder Kevin Lyman confirmed the plan in an announcement reported by Pitchfork and ThePRP on October 17, 2024.
Where and when were the 2025 events?
| City | Venue or site | Announced dates |
|---|---|---|
| Washington, D.C. | Festival Grounds at RFK Campus | June 14–15, 2025 |
| Long Beach, California | Shoreline Waterfront | July 26–27, 2025 |
| Orlando, Florida | Camping World Stadium Campus | November 15–16, 2025 |
These were the three two-day stops in the announced schedule, also reported by Rock Sound in January 2025. The official site now displays future events and destination links; it does not establish ticket availability for the past 2025 dates: Vans Warped Tour.
Who brought the festival back, and why?
Lyman brought Warped Tour back in partnership with Insomniac. At the time of the announcement, he described the return as a chance to connect longtime fans with a new generation:

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
“People are craving connection, live music, and the raw, unfiltered experience that Warped has always offered. We’ve seen how music continues to unite and inspire, and this return isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about giving a new generation the chance to feel that same sense of belonging and freedom that Warped has always championed.”
That quotation records Lyman’s stated rationale, not survey evidence about audience demand. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella also described the partnership as focused on honoring Warped Tour’s culture and putting the fan experience first, in the announcement reproduced by ThePRP.

How was the 2025 format different?
The original touring era was built around a cross-country tour; the announced 2025 revival consisted of three two-day city events. Organizers forecast 70 to 100 bands per stop across rock, punk rock, alternative, pop punk, and emo. That was an advance plan, not an independently verified final count. Pitchfork reported the forecast on announcement day. A January 2025 Rock Sound report said the first lineup names were scheduled for announcement on January 27.
In a July 2026 retrospective interview, Lyman described the revived festival’s community atmosphere as extending beyond the performances, citing merch and sponsor booths, skate ramps, and surprises between sets. He also said that a third of the people attending Warped had never been to a festival or concert before. That figure is Lyman’s statement in the Los Angeles Times interview; the cited passage does not provide an independent survey method.
