La secuencia apareció en Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain, la biografía no autorizada de Charles Leerhsen.

En una declaración difundida el 8 de junio de 2018, Argento escribió: “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did” y lo describió como “my love, my rock, my protector”.

Sobre viajar sin itinerario fijo, dijo: “I much prefer people who just showed up in Paris and found their own way without any particular itinerary, who left themselves open to things happening. To mistakes … because that’s the most important part of travel.”
