This is a voice recast for one series—not evidence that Hemsworth has been replaced as Thor in live-action Marvel films.
Who voices Thor in Marvel Zombies?
Casting reports identify Greg Furman as Thor’s voice in Marvel Zombies and say Hemsworth did not reprise the role. Marvel’s official series coverage describes the show and its ensemble but does not provide a complete voice-cast roster naming Furman, so the casting detail is best attributed to reporting rather than treated as an official Marvel announcement. MarvelBlog’s casting report and Comic Book Club’s voice-cast guide both name Furman.
Does this mean Chris Hemsworth is no longer Thor?
No. The reported change concerns Thor’s voice in this animated series. It does not establish a live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe recast. A March 2025 Associated Press report listed Hemsworth among the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, but that announcement predates Marvel Zombies’ release and is not a guarantee of later casting. The Associated Press report is relevant context, not proof of a current or future live-action role.
What is Marvel Zombies?
Marvel Zombies is a four-part animated series that premiered on Disney+ on September 24, 2025. Disney describes it as an expansion of the dystopian world first seen in What If…?, while clarifying that it is not a direct continuation of that show’s season-one cliffhanger. Disney’s series feature covers its premise and relationship to What If…?; Disney Brasil’s availability announcement confirms that all four episodes were available on the premiere date.
