It introduces an antihero team assembled by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and hints at a mission shaped by the characters’ troubled pasts. “Quippy chaos and questionable heroics” is a reading of the marketing, not an official description or a guarantee of the finished film’s tone.
Which Thunderbolts* trailer is this?
Disney announced the Big Game trailer and poster on February 10, 2025. The film page also lists a separate final trailer, so “new trailer” needs a date: this article is about the Big Game trailer, not the later final trailer. Disney’s final-trailer page promoted the film with the line “In two weeks, one last shot at redemption,” a marketing slogan rather than a quotation from a named individual. See Disney’s film page and the official final-trailer page.

The phrase “quippy chaos and questionable heroics” captures an interpretation of the trailer’s pitch. It should not be mistaken for Marvel’s official characterization or evidence of how the released film was received.
Who is on the team, and what is the story?
Marvel Studios presents the group as an unconventional team of antiheroes: Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. Disney’s synopsis says they are caught in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and forced into a mission that confronts their pasts. The premise puts the characters’ uneasy alliance and histories at the center of the setup.
