Clara credited Esther with helping her
In an October 2021 interview with the Evening Standard about anxiety and prescription medication dependence, Clara said, “My sister Esther and my mum are a great help.” The comment is direct evidence that Clara described Esther as part of her support at that time. In an interview with METAL Magazine, Esther recounted posting a Pride message while she was with Clara, after which Clara posted one too. Does the reported tension between Ewan and Clara involve Esther?
No reported sisterly falling-out is established by the accounts cited here. An August 2026 El País report concerns Ewan and Clara’s father-daughter relationship following the upheaval around his divorce, and says their relationship later improved while they made Bleeding Love. That is a separate relationship; the report does not say Clara and Esther were estranged from one another. Read the El País account.
