WWE’s Saudi Arabia deal is a live-event partnership, not a sale of WWE to Saudi Arabia. WWE dates the partnership to 2018, and a 2019 announcement described an expanded event arrangement through 2027. The public sources cited here do not disclose the full contract value or a per-event fee.
What is WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia?
WWE describes the arrangement as a partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to stage major live events there. Its announcements name Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and Riyadh Season in connection with events. WWE says the partnership began in 2018. WWE’s September 2026 announcement gives examples of events held under the partnership, including Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions and Royal Rumble.
How long does the announced agreement run?
On November 4, 2019, WWE and the GEA announced an expanded live-event partnership through 2027, including a second annual large-scale event. That is the term stated in the announcement; it does not establish whether the parties later amended or extended their agreement. Read WWE and the GEA’s 2019 announcement.
Which Saudi Arabia events has WWE announced?
Royal Rumble in Riyadh
WWE announced on January 6, 2025, that the 2026 Royal Rumble would be held in Riyadh. In that announcement, GEA chairman HE Turki Alalshikh said the event’s first staging outside North America reflected the authority’s commitment to bringing major entertainment events to the Kingdom. This is the GEA chairman’s stated aim, not independent evidence of the partnership’s effects. See WWE’s Royal Rumble announcement.

How much does Saudi Arabia pay WWE?
The cited public disclosures do not state the partnership’s complete contract value, a per-event fee schedule or a guaranteed annual payment. A TKO Group Holdings filing for the second quarter of 2026 attributed $13.5 million of higher live-event revenue to incentive packages associated with an additional Saudi Arabia premium live event. That figure is a reported revenue increase attributed to specified factors—not the total value of the Saudi agreement or a stated payment for each event. Read TKO’s 2026 second-quarter filing.

The event partnership and corporate ownership are separate matters. The cited TKO transaction disclosure described Endeavor Group Holdings as holding a 51% controlling voting interest in TKO, with WWE stockholders holding a 49% voting interest at the time of that transaction. It does not describe Saudi Arabia as an owner. The cited sources establish event partnerships and financial effects, not Saudi government ownership or control of WWE or TKO.
