The available listings identify a handful of promising films, but they do not establish 22 titles that are currently included with Prime in any one country. Availability and access tier vary by marketplace, so check each film’s listing before you press play.
How to choose a Prime Video thriller
“On Prime Video” does not necessarily mean “included with Prime.” A title may be part of the membership, available to rent or buy, or offered through a paid Prime Video Channel. Amazon describes Channels as paid subscriptions to third-party networks and entertainment channels in its Prime Video content guide. The service’s mystery and thriller category is a useful place to browse, but a category listing alone does not confirm the price tier.

Before deciding, set your country in Prime Video and check the individual film page for its access label. Then pick by subgenre and intensity: a classic spy story, a psychologically dark drama, or a faster action thriller will deliver very different kinds of suspense.
Seven thriller candidates to look for
These are viewing leads, not a certified ranking or a promise that every title is included with Prime in your market. Recheck the film page in your country; the access tier may change.
#1 Best Overall
Dr. No (1962): classic spy suspense
For a classic espionage starting point, try the first James Bond film. Tom’s Guide listed Dr. No among thrillers newly added to Prime Video during the week of October 6, 2026. That is a dated catalog snapshot, not a guarantee of current availability or membership inclusion. Check the listing in your marketplace.
Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982; 2007 remaster): science-fiction noir
Choose this version if you want corporate paranoia and a noir atmosphere rather than a conventional crime investigation. Tom’s Guide identified the 2007 remaster as a new-to-Prime thriller in the same October 6–12, 2026 roundup. Make sure the listing is for The Final Cut, since other versions exist; confirm both the version and access tier before watching. See the dated roundup.

Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant (2023): military rescue thriller
This action-focused pick centers on the bond between a US sergeant and an Afghan interpreter. It is a fit if you want a rescue premise and forward-moving military suspense. Its appearance in Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 roundup does not establish that it remains available in your country or included with Prime. Verify the current film page.
Room for Rent: psychological suspense with a horror edge
Room for Rent was named in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 selection of psychological thrillers. The available listing information does not settle its present region, access tier, rating, or content details, so check those on the film page before choosing it—especially if you want suspense without horror-adjacent material. Read the dated selection.

You Were Never Really Here (2017): dark, distinctive action
Lynne Ramsay’s film is the choice here for a darker, formally distinctive action thriller. GamesRadar lists it for the US, but treat that as a regional guide rather than a live guarantee; check whether your local listing includes the film with Prime or charges separately. Check GamesRadar’s regional guide.
A Working Man (2025): contemporary action thriller
David Ayer’s contemporary action pick suits viewers looking for a propulsive pace. GamesRadar lists it in the US and UK. Confirm the current listing and tier in your own marketplace, as regional catalog details can change. See the regional guide.
Rank #4
Road House (2024): modern action, with a remake comparison
Doug Liman’s 2024 Road House offers a contemporary action-thriller option and can be an easy pick if you want to compare it with the 1989 film. GamesRadar lists it in the US and UK; verify the year and access tier on the title page, since searching may surface more than one version. Check the guide’s regional notes.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.More suspense leads from Prime Video’s genre page
The official mystery and thriller browse page has also surfaced Shutter Island and Primal Fear as possible picks. A listing in the genre category is not proof that either film is included in a Prime membership, so check the individual page for your country and look for a rent, buy, channel, or included-with-Prime label before committing.

Why this is not a verified “best 22” list
The available evidence supports these candidates and browsing leads, but not 22 films confirmed as included with Prime in a single defined country. It also does not establish an objective order across subgenres: spy suspense, psychological thrillers, science-fiction noir, and action films serve different moods. A reliable list of 22 needs a country-specific check of every title’s current listing and tier; presenting unverified films as free with Prime would mislead readers.
