What Nicks performed
“The Lighthouse”
JamBase describes “The Lighthouse” as inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade and reports that the SNL performance was its first live performance. The song opened Nicks’s set.

“Edge of Seventeen”
Nicks followed with “Edge of Seventeen,” a song from her 1981 solo debut, Bella Donna. The SNL performance was a live rendition of the song, not a recording from the album.
Why the appearance was a return
JamBase dates Nicks’s previous SNL musical-guest appearance to December 1983. The 2024 performance was therefore her first musical-guest turn on the show in more than 40 years, as also characterized by the Associated Press. The sources establish those appearance dates but do not require a more exact measure of the elapsed time.
