Was the meeting a reconciliation?
The meeting is evidence that they met; it does not establish that they reached an agreement or resolved their family rift. The tensions have public roots in Harry and Meghan’s 2020 departure from royal duties and subsequent public accounts and disputes. AP identifies Harry’s memoir Spare as part of that wider context, but it is not an account of what was said during the private tea.

AP reported a separate private family gathering at Highgrove on July 10, 2026, attended by Harry, Meghan, their children, Charles and Queen Camilla. That later gathering had different participants and took place at a different venue; it was not the September 2025 meeting. AP’s timeline also says the Sussexes would not resume working royal roles.
