Why did the news come about two months later?
Greene was found dead in his Lower East Side apartment on December 12, 2025, aged 60. An Associated Press report published the next day said his cause of death had not yet been released. Reports on February 18–19, 2026, later attributed the cause and manner determination to the city medical examiner, roughly two months after his death.

Who was Peter Greene?
Greene was a character actor known for playing Zed in Pulp Fiction and for his role in The Mask. His manager, Gregg Edwards, remembered him as “a terrific guy” and described him as one of the greatest character actors on the planet, according to the Associated Press.
