Psych and Monk fans have reason to be curious, but there is no confirmed new crossover or Psych continuation in the cited updates. The “another USA Network show” in the older headline is Royal Pains, described in secondary reporting as being set for a reboot. Separately, Monk already returned in a 2023 Peacock movie, and a 2026 renewal announcement for Anna Pigeon concerns a different, continuing series.
Are new Psych or Monk projects confirmed?
No. USA Insider’s July 22, 2025 report said no future Psych or Monk project had been confirmed. It covered actor interest in a possible crossover, not an approved production. James Roday Rodriguez said, “We would absolutely do a collaboration with Monk. It would be an honor and a privilege.” That is an expression of willingness, not a greenlight. What does “Psych 4” mean?
“Psych 4” is fan-facing shorthand for a possible fourth Psych movie or continuation; it should not be read as an announced title or confirmed project. The available report establishes interest in a collaboration, but not a fourth film, schedule, cast, or release date.
Has Monk already continued?
Yes. Peacock announced Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie on March 30, 2023, with returning cast members, and the film was released later that year. It is an actual continuation of the series, distinct from the still-unconfirmed possibility of another movie. See Peacock’s announcement.

Could there be a sequel?
There has been openness, not confirmation. In December 2023, creator Andy Breckman said, “We left the door open at the end of this movie, as you saw, and what will come through the door you know… time will tell, but we very intentionally left that door open.” USA Insider’s interview coverage also described the possibility as unresolved. In May 2024, Tony Shalhoub’s stance on a sequel was summarized as “We’ll Have To See,” not as an announcement. Read that report.
Which USA Network show was reported to be getting revived?
The older headline’s reference is Royal Pains. A CBR article dated April 27, 2025 reported that the show was set for a reboot and that Psych and Monk were in discussions for potential expansion, citing Deadline. That is secondary reporting, not a studio or network commissioning announcement. Read CBR’s report. The cited evidence does not establish a release date or confirm that any Psych or Monk project was approved.

What is the 2026 Anna Pigeon announcement?
On October 7, 2026, Versant announced that Anna Pigeon had been renewed for a second season. This is a renewal of a current series, not the revival discussed in the older headline and not confirmation of a Psych or Monk continuation. Read Versant’s announcement.
