Disney lists the Moana 2 teaser as a 1:44 video, separate from the film’s 2:10 Official Trailer. The teaser introduces Moana’s next voyage, while the later full trailer is a distinct promotional asset. Disney’s film page is the official place to find both videos: Moana 2 | Disney Movies.
Where to find the official teaser
On Disney’s official Moana 2 film page, the 1:44 “Teaser Trailer” appears separately from the 2:10 “Official Trailer.” They are not alternate names for the same video: the teaser is the shorter early promotional video, while Disney lists the full trailer as its own asset. The page’s labels and runtimes are the clearest way to distinguish them.

What the teaser sets up
Disney describes the animated musical sequel as a new voyage for Moana and a crew of unlikely seafarers. The journey begins after Moana receives a call from her wayfinding ancestors, drawing her beyond the familiar waters of Oceania. The official synopsis establishes that broad setup; it should not be confused with a scene-by-scene account of what the teaser reveals.
Why the teaser drew attention
The Associated Press reported on September 5, 2024, that the teaser received 178 million views in its first 24 hours. That figure is AP’s report, not a view count independently verified here through Disney or YouTube analytics. AP also reported that Moana 2 began as a planned streaming series before Disney shifted it into a theatrical feature.

Those are historical release dates; they do not guarantee present availability in every country or at every time. The streaming announcement also said the soundtrack was available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music; it did not announce a physical soundtrack release.
