They do document a different TODAY interview from February 2017—and separate comments by both actors about filming those scenes.
What the February 2017 TODAY interview documents
TODAY’s video result shows Natalie Morales interviewing Dornan and Johnson at the world premiere of Fifty Shades Darker on February 3, 2017. Its description quotes Johnson saying, “I think we were kind of forced into being best friends.” The description does not establish the alleged intimate-scenes comment or Dornan’s reaction. What the actors said about filming intimate scenes
In separate reporting about the original Fifty Shades of Grey, Johnson described the Red Room scenes as “definitely the most vulnerable scenes in the movie” and said the set was closed. Dornan said some moments in the room were uncomfortable, according to ABC News. These remarks provide context about making the film; they are not evidence of an exchange on TODAY.
A production account from TIME describes deliberate planning and trust among the actors and crew in filming the intimate scenes. That account likewise does not verify the alleged TODAY moment.

Why the claim should be treated cautiously
The sources document a premiere interview and comments made in other reporting, not the specific sequence described in the headline. Without a source showing Johnson making that comment on TODAY and Dornan turning red in response, neither the wording nor the reaction can be presented as fact.
