Liz Cambage was asked whether OnlyFans had paid her more than her WNBA career. In the exchange reported by Complex, she criticized WNBA salaries but did not clearly confirm the comparison or disclose verified earnings. Other outlets have published larger claims and estimates, but they describe different time periods and are not supported by earnings records in the available reporting.
What Cambage said about OnlyFans and WNBA pay
Complex reported on October 6, 2025, that TMZ asked Cambage whether she had made more on OnlyFans than over her WNBA career. Complex quoted her response: “You know the WNBA salary, [it’s] not that hard to make more money doing anything.” She added: “I feel like women gotta make more money playing the sport they love.”
That answer criticizes WNBA pay and argues for better compensation for women athletes. It is not an explicit confirmation that her OnlyFans earnings exceeded her WNBA career earnings, nor does it state an amount. The report does not provide a full interview transcript. Read Complex’s account of the exchange.
Why published earnings comparisons differ
The Express Tribune reported in January 2025 that Cambage had reportedly earned more on OnlyFans in her first week than during her professional basketball career. A later Celebrity Net Worth article attributed a $1.5 million OnlyFans estimate for less than a year to The Express Tribune, and attributed a $590,836 WNBA career total to Spotrac. These are secondary-source attributions; the available reporting does not include primary account records or independently verified net earnings. The Express Tribune’s January 2025 report and Celebrity Net Worth’s estimate and attributions describe different measures.

| Published figure or claim | What it refers to | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| First week | The Express Tribune’s reported comparison with her professional basketball career | The article does not supply the underlying earnings records. |
| $590,836 | WNBA career earnings attributed by Celebrity Net Worth to Spotrac | A secondary attribution, not independently verified here. |
| $1.5 million in less than a year | OnlyFans earnings estimate attributed by Celebrity Net Worth to The Express Tribune | A secondary estimate; primary account records and net income are not provided. |
| $221,450 | The Express Tribune’s reported highest WNBA season salary | Secondary reporting, not independently verified here. |
These figures cannot be treated as a single like-for-like accounting. The first-week claim concerns a specific period; the $1.5 million figure is an estimate for less than a year; and the basketball figures refer to WNBA or professional-career earnings. The sources do not establish whether amounts are gross or net, or define a consistent comparison period.

The reporting supports saying that Cambage criticized WNBA pay when asked about OnlyFans earnings. It does not establish exact OnlyFans income, verified career earnings, or a definitive comparison between the two. Nor does one athlete’s reported experience establish typical WNBA salaries or typical creator earnings. ESPN’s coverage of Cambage’s WNBA career provides career context, but it does not resolve the earnings comparison.
