Olson is also known for playing Dee in FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. That is a separate comedy series, not the show whose premiere audience prompted the “instant hit” framing. FX’s official series page identifies Olson’s role and provides information about the series.
What does “instant hit” mean here?
Variety reported, citing Nielsen data, that the September 17, 2024 premiere averaged 3.6 million viewers in ABC’s live-plus-same-day measurement. Across ABC and streaming platforms, the premiere audience reached 11.5 million viewers after three days, the report said. The figures describe different measurement windows, so they should not be treated as directly equivalent.

The 11.5 million total supports saying that the premiere attracted a large initial audience. It does not establish the show’s current popularity, later episode performance, or full-season audience. The available figures are from the 2024 premiere window; they are not current-season totals. Variety’s report gives the audience figures and attributes them to Nielsen.
Where can you watch High Potential?
