Ina Garten and Tina Fey make Greek Lemon Potatoes together on Be My Guest with Ina Garten, but Food Network credits the recipe to Fey. It pairs potato wedges with lemon, olive oil, garlic, oregano and broth or water, then roasts them until browned at the edges and tender inside.
Whose roasted potato recipe is it?
The recipe is Tina Fey’s, not Ina Garten’s. Food Network identifies Fey as its creator and features the potatoes in an episode of Be My Guest with Ina Garten. The episode listing, dated October 19, 2025, describes a meal that also includes Garten’s Chicken Thighs with Creamy Mustard Sauce. What goes into Tina Fey’s Greek Lemon Potatoes?
Food Network lists the yield as 6 to 8 servings. The ingredient list is:
- 3 pounds medium Idaho potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
- 2/3 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 2 lemons
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
For serving, the recipe lists flaky sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, a lemon and chopped flat-leaf parsley. Its flavor base is a mix of citrus, oil, garlic and oregano, with broth or water poured over the potatoes before roasting. The quantities and method here are from Food Network’s published recipe, not an independently tested adaptation.

How to make the potatoes
- Heat the oven: Set it to 450°F.
- Arrange the potatoes: Put the peeled wedges in a sheet pan. The published recipe specifies a sheet pan but does not name a particular size, material or brand.
- Mix and pour: Combine the broth or water, olive oil, lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, oregano and kosher salt. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and toss to coat.
- Roast: Spread the wedges in an even layer and roast for 50 minutes to 1 hour, turning them halfway through. Food Network’s instructions say to cook until the edges are golden and the insides are tender.
- Finish: Add flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, then garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley.
