Castmates’ accusations and the show’s own episode descriptions put her at the center of rumors about Marciano Brunette, disputes over pay and brand deals, and clashes with Jen Affleck and Taylor Frankie Paul. Demi disputed key allegations; the available accounts do not establish that an affair happened or prove her private motives.
Why viewers and castmates called Demi the villain
The label was already part of the season’s pre-premiere conversation. In a Us Weekly cast interview, several castmates reportedly identified Demi as the season’s villain, largely because of rumors that she had hooked up with Marciano Brunette, a cast member of Vanderpump Villa, after the shows’ crossover. The label reflects how those castmates interpreted the rumors and the season’s conflicts; it is not an objective finding about Demi.
The Marciano rumors—and Demi’s denial
Us Weekly reported that Brunette described physical and emotional attraction in a confessional. Demi denied that anything inappropriate happened. She told the outlet: “At the expense of sounding rude, there wasn’t even a remote attraction to Marciano.” She also said she had been honest with her husband and wore her wedding ring throughout the encounter. Those are competing accounts, not proof of an affair. Us Weekly’s cast interview gives her response and the pre-premiere framing.
How the season’s official episode descriptions built the story
Walt Disney Television/ABC Press’s 2025 Season 2 loglines progressively place Demi at the center of the group’s unraveling. Episode 204 promotes a “shocking Sinner Sunday Confession about Demi and Bret’s marriage.” Episode 205 says Jen “makes claims about Demi.” Episode 206 describes a secret about Demi exposed on a girls’ trip to Scottsdale, “bringing her motives for being in #MomTok into question.” Later loglines say Taylor and Demi’s conflict erupts in Episode 208 and Demi threatens an ultimatum in Episode 209.

That sequence explains why the season’s marketing and narrative make Demi appear pivotal: marriage questions, accusations, scrutiny of her place in the group, and escalating conflict. But loglines are promotional summaries. They establish the show’s framing and the order of highlighted plot beats, not the truth of every allegation or the full context of each scene. The official episode guide is the source for those descriptions.
Pay, contracts, and brand deals added a professional dispute
Season 2’s conflict was not limited to personal rumors. Marie Claire reports that Episode 6 includes Jessi confronting Demi over a claim that Demi told producers she would accept Jessi being off the show if that meant Demi could receive more pay. Demi criticized Jessi’s negotiation approach in a confessional, while other women reportedly claimed Demi wanted the largest share of brand deals. Demi denied saying she wanted Jessi removed.

Marie Claire also reproduces Demi’s on-camera comment: “It’s not a shock that I’m a fan-favorite [after the first season]. I feel like I’m an asset [and] I should fight for more.” The bracketed wording is the outlet’s edited clarification. The reported line conveys Demi’s view that she deserved to negotiate for more; it does not by itself verify the allegation about Jessi, establish a specific demand, or settle how compensation was allocated. Jen and Taylor made the conflict harder to reduce to one rumor
The official loglines place Jen’s claims about Demi amid a group that is splintering, then flag a major Taylor–Demi clash. In the Us Weekly interview, Demi said of Jen: “Jen has not been a good friend, and I don’t care to get involved in their marriage at all.” That is Demi’s stated position, not an independent account of the friendship or Jen and Zac’s marriage.

Across these storylines, the season gives the cast and viewers more than one reason to see Demi as a driver of conflict: the Marciano rumor, arguments over professional value and money, and strained friendships. The evidence available in these accounts supports describing the disputes and how they were framed; it does not establish the women’s private motives or resolve every contested claim.

TheWrap reported in 2025 that Seasons 1 and 2 stream on Hulu in the United States. Streaming catalogs can change, so check Hulu’s current listing before watching. TheWrap’s report on the streaming home identifies Hulu for those seasons.
