The Hatsune Miku–Magic: The Gathering connection around Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty was a music-and-video promotion in 2022—not a Miku card in the expansion. The Miku-branded Magic cards people may remember came later, through separate Secret Lair releases beginning in 2024.
What was the 2022 Hatsune Miku collaboration?
Sensor Tower’s 2022 report describes Hatsune Miku as part of the promotion for Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, the Magic expansion released that year. The campaign was audiovisual: a full-length music video appeared on Miku’s YouTube channel, and MTG Arena partnered with Japanese animation studio WIT Studio on an animated music video.
Sensor Tower estimated that the WIT Studio video had close to 4 million views when its report was published. That is a historical estimate, not a current view count.
Was Miku a card in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty?
No. Sensor Tower explicitly says Miku did not appear as a card in the expansion. The 2022 connection was promotion for the set, not a Miku-themed card release.

How the 2022 promotion differed from the Neon Dynasty Superdrop
The campaign and the Secret Lair Superdrop were related to the same expansion launch, but they were distinct. Wizards’ February 2022 Superdrop announcement lists its Showcase: Neon Dynasty drop as four neon-ink foil cards: Ghostly Prison, Freed from the Real, Boseiju, Who Shelters All, and Hall of the Bandit Lord. Hatsune Miku is not listed among them.
The Superdrop article gave a preorder window of February 18 to March 18, 2022. That historical window is not a current ordering opportunity.

When did Miku-themed Magic cards arrive?
Wizards introduced Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Sakura Superstar in May 2024 as the first of four Miku Secret Lair drops. Its announcement lists six cards and gave a sale window of May 13 through June 2, 2024. That period has passed.
A later Wizards product page describes Digital Sensation as the second stop on the Miku Secret Lair tour and lists six cards. The page describes the product as limited quantity while supplies last; check the official product page for current availability rather than assuming it can still be ordered.

What to look for if you want the Kamigawa set
Wizards’ product lineup lists Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Set, Collector, and Draft Booster Boxes. These are ways to explore the Magic expansion; they are not Miku products, and the 2022 Miku promotion did not add Miku cards to those boosters. Availability can vary, so check the seller or product listing before purchasing.
