In the March 2025 crossover, Black Noir was represented by a Deimos cosmetic. The available reporting confirms those character-to-operator choices, but does not establish the specific design detail or fan reaction suggested by the original headline.
How Homelander appeared in Rainbow Six Siege
The crossover translated characters from The Boys into cosmetics for existing Siege operators. Homelander was paired with Ace, while Black Noir was paired with Deimos. IGN’s March 18, 2025 video description identified the pairings and said both bundles were available at the time: IGN’s crossover trailer description.
That means the headline’s “what Siege did to Homelander” refers to a character skin assignment: the game represented him through Ace rather than adding Homelander as a separate operator. The cited material does not describe a specific visual gag, costume alteration, or other design choice beyond that mapping.
When the original crossover launched
Layer Licensing lists the Rainbow Six Siege x The Boys crossover as released on March 18, 2025, and describes it as adding Homelander and Black Noir skins for two operators. Layer Licensing’s listing is a secondary licensing tracker; IGN’s video description from the same date provides contemporaneous confirmation of the operator pairings.

The original Homelander bundle’s availability now is not established by those sources. Ubisoft’s ongoing Siege news coverage does not confirm that a particular older cosmetic remains obtainable.
Was there another The Boys crossover?
Yes. A separate Ubisoft announcement covered a later bundle pairing Soldier Boy with Blackbeard. It included the Patriotic Prestige charm, Payback Leader headgear and uniform, a portrait, the Liberty Defender shield skin, and the Operation Charly background. Ubisoft described the bundle as part of a limited-time event running from January 26, 2026, at 14:00 UTC, through February 2, 2026, at 14:00 UTC. That event window had ended by October 8, 2026. Ubisoft’s Steam announcement also set a challenge to hit 15 enemy Operators.

The Soldier Boy collaboration is distinct from the 2025 Homelander and Black Noir release; it should not be treated as evidence that the original cosmetics were still available.

The sources establish the crossover and its operator pairings, but they do not verify a widespread fan response or explain what particular detail supposedly caused disbelief. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege news page shows game updates through September 2026, confirming the game remains actively updated, but it does not establish the present availability of the Homelander cosmetic. So the documented takeaway is narrower than the headline’s reaction framing: Homelander appeared as an Ace cosmetic in the 2025 crossover, alongside Black Noir as Deimos. Claims about a shocking visual change, controversy, or broad fan reaction are not supported by the cited material.
