Dragon Ball Super is reported to move beyond its Super Hero adaptation into a new story, according to reporting about Volume 24. But the report does not confirm that the new saga begins in the next chapter, or say when that chapter will be released.
What does the Volume 24 report say?
A republication of CBR reporting says that Toyotarou’s afterword in Dragon Ball Super Volume 24 indicates the manga will move on to a new story after adapting Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The report does not provide the afterword’s text, so this is a reported indication rather than a direct quotation or a detailed announcement. IMDb News’ republication of the report is the source for these details.
According to that report, Volume 24 collects Chapters 101–104 and went on sale in Japan on April 4, 2025. It describes Chapter 104, “The Birth of Saiyaman X,” as a special one-shot about Goten and Trunks becoming superheroes. The volume therefore closes the manga’s Super Hero adaptation; it is not identified as the start of the next saga.
Does the next saga begin in the next chapter?
That timing is not confirmed by the cited report. It says the manga moves to a new story, but does not name the saga, identify the chapter that begins it, or give a release date. The headline phrase “begins next chapter” should therefore be read as an unverified timing claim, not a confirmed schedule.

Is this connected to the 2026 Beerus anime?
No. The manga report and the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus announcement concern separate projects. The official Dragon Ball site announcement says Beerus will begin anew in 2026 as an enhanced anime edition. That announcement is about the anime; it does not confirm when manga serialization resumes or what its next story will cover.
