Majin Duu is a new Majin created by Dr. Arinsu in Dragon Ball DAIMA from Majin Buu’s remaining essence and the last Saibaiman seeds. He debuts in episode 11, and later fights Goku before joining the combined attack on Third Eye Gomah.
Who is Majin Duu?
Majin Duu is a character created for Dragon Ball DAIMA’s Demon Realm story. He resembles Majin Buu, but the official introduction presents him as another new Majin—not as Buu returning in the same form. Duu first appears in episode 11 and is voiced in Japanese by Fukushi Ochiai. The official character announcement introduces him with the line, “I want chocolate!”
How was Majin Duu created?
Dr. Arinsu creates Duu after Majin Kuu surrenders to Tamagami Number One, unable to overcome its strength. The official announcement says Arinsu uses “all remaining essence of Buu” and buries “the last of the Saibaiman seeds deep underground” to bring another Majin into being.
That establishes Duu’s ingredients and his connection to Buu, but not the precise mechanics of the process. The account does not establish that Duu is Buu reborn, explain what memories or personality traits he might inherit, or describe a biological relationship in technical terms. “Created from Buu’s remaining essence and Saibaiman seeds” is the supported description.

What is Duu like when he appears?
The official introduction emphasizes Duu’s resemblance to Buu and his chocolate line. Those details give him a Buu-like visual first impression and a food-focused introduction, but they are not a complete profile of his personality.
What does Majin Duu do later in DAIMA?
In the late-series conflict, Duu is with Arinsu and Kuu while they hold the First Demon World Dragon Ball. Goku challenges him, but their fight is interrupted when King Gomah transforms into Third Eye Gomah. The danger shifts from their confrontation to the larger threat.

When Goku’s side struggles against Third Eye Gomah, Duu joins the attack alongside Kuu and Tamagami Number One. The official climax announcement describes his participation in that combined effort; it does not explain his private motives or frame the moment as a specific redemption story. The official climax announcement provides the account of these events.
Where Duu fits in Dragon Ball DAIMA
DAIMA follows Goku and his companions after a conspiracy turns them small, leading them to investigate a connection to the Demon Realm. Duu enters that story through Arinsu’s scheme, first as a new creation tied to her plans and later as one of the fighters in the confrontation with Third Eye Gomah. Akira Toriyama is credited on the official series site for original work, story, and character design.
