The Associated Press reported their launch price as $399. The store’s current FAQ says the business is “not political” and has no connection to a political campaign; that is the store’s own disclaimer, not an independent finding about the product’s political context.
What happened at the sneaker launch?
Trump appeared at Sneaker Con while campaigning for president and unveiled the gold high-tops. The Associated Press described shiny gold styling and an American flag detail on the back. The store website launched the same day, according to Gizmodo’s February 17, 2024 report.
The product description on the website at launch called the shoes “your rally cry in shoe form” and urged customers to “Lace-up and step out ready to conquer.” Those were marketing lines from the product listing, not statements attributed to Trump. At the event, AP reported that Trump said, “There’s a lot of emotion in this room,” and described the project as something he had discussed for “12 years, 13 years,” adding that he thought it would be a big success. The crowd included both boos and cheers.
AP reported that other Trump-branded footwear and Victory47 fragrance were also offered. Gizmodo reported other shoe styles at lower prices at launch and noted that product images carried a disclaimer that they might not exactly match the product. Those are launch-period details, not confirmation of current inventory or pricing.

Why does the website say it is “not political”?
The current official store FAQ says: “GetTrumpSneakers.com is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.” The statement describes the store’s position. It does not erase the political setting of the launch: AP reported that Trump appeared at Sneaker Con while campaigning and that campaign officials promoted his appearance online.
The distinction is between the store’s stated relationship to a campaign and the public circumstances surrounding the product launch. The website says there is no campaign connection; AP’s reporting documents campaign promotion of Trump’s appearance. Neither point should be presented as proof of a broader legal or organizational relationship beyond what the sources state.

Who makes and sells the Never Surrender sneakers?
The current FAQ says 45Footwear is not owned, managed, or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, or CIC Ventures LLC. It says 45Footwear uses Trump’s name, likeness, and image under a paid license from CIC Ventures LLC. The store’s footer also says the sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Trump or the named affiliates.
AP’s contemporaneous 2024 report said the site described the venture as having no campaign connection and said it was run by CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure. That launch-period description and the store’s current licensing language are different statements made at different times; they should not be treated as interchangeable proof of ownership or control.

AP reported a $399 launch price for the Never Surrender High-Tops on February 17, 2024. That figure establishes what the shoes were reported to cost at launch, not their current price. The available reporting does not establish independent testing of construction, materials, fit, durability, or comparative value, so the launch price alone is not a basis for judging quality.
