In the United States, Disney+ subscriptions are for one Household: people who live at the subscriber’s primary personal residence. For someone living elsewhere, Disney’s stated options are to get a separate subscription or, if the account’s plan qualifies, be added as its one Extra Member. Extra Member costs $6.99 per month on Disney+ with ads or $9.99 per month on Disney+ Premium at the rates Disney lists for new subscriptions starting September 23, 2026. Eligibility and bundle prices vary.
Can you share Disney+ with someone who lives elsewhere?
Disney defines a Household as “a collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside there.” Its US sharing guidance says a subscription cannot be shared with people outside that Household. Having a separate profile does not make someone who lives elsewhere part of it. Disney says it determines a Household using factors that include subscription activity, linked devices, and internet connection. Disney’s sharing guidance also points users to device management and logging out for account management.
If a person outside the Household needs access, Disney identifies two options: they can subscribe on their own, or the account holder can add them as an Extra Member when the plan is eligible. Disney’s account-security guidance reiterates the restriction.
What does an Extra Member cost in the US?
Disney’s US pricing page, dated September 23, 2026, lists the following monthly rates. The prices shown apply to new subscriptions starting on that date; customers who subscribed earlier are due to see the price change in a billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026. Third-party billing partners may charge different prices.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
| Plan | Standalone monthly price | Extra Member monthly price |
|---|---|---|
| Disney+ with ads | $12.49 | $6.99 |
| Disney+ Premium | $21.49 | $9.99 |
These are Disney-published US monthly prices, not universal rates across billing channels or bundles. On eligible bundles, the same pricing page lists $7.99 per month for Disney+ and Hulu Bundle, $10.99 for its Premium tier, $11.99 for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle, and $14.99 for that bundle’s Premium tier. Bundle eligibility and exclusions apply. See Disney’s current plans and prices for the plan-specific terms.
Who qualifies, and what does the Extra Member get?
Disney permits one Extra Member per Disney+ subscription or eligible bundle. The invited person must meet all of these conditions:
Rank #2
- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Live in the same country or region as the account holder.
- Not have an active Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN subscription.
The Extra Member has a separate email address and password, a unique profile, and their own personalized watch history. Disney says they may receive the same content and video and audio quality as the account holder. They can stream and download on one device at a time, and cannot change service tiers or other account options. Disney’s Extra Member terms provide the full details.
This is a limited seat, not another full household subscription: the account holder and their Household can stream on up to four devices at once, while the Extra Member is limited to one device at a time. Disney allows up to seven profiles total on an account; profiles are not a workaround for the Household rule.

Does your Disney bundle allow an Extra Member?
Not every bundle qualifies. Disney’s pricing page excludes the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle and its Premium tier, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max bundles, and bundles with NFL+ Premium. Because eligibility depends on the exact plan, check the current plan name and its terms before relying on the add-on. Third-party billing may also change the price or account-management options.
Extra Member or separate subscription: which fits?
At Disney’s listed US rates, an Extra Member costs less each month than a separate standalone subscription on either corresponding plan. The trade-off is capacity: the Extra Member gets one profile and one simultaneous device, while a separate subscription is its own account. The monthly comparison below uses the prices on Disney’s September 23, 2026 pricing page; billing partner and bundle pricing can differ.

| Choice | With ads | Premium | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Member | $6.99/month | $9.99/month | One eligible person; one profile and one device at a time. |
| Separate standalone subscription | $12.49/month | $21.49/month | A separate subscription rather than a seat on the account holder’s plan. |
The Extra Member add-on is the lower listed monthly price if one eligible person needs access and its device and profile limits are sufficient. A separate subscription is Disney’s other stated route for someone outside the Household.

- Sign in at DisneyPlus.com and open Profile > Account.
- Under Your Plans and Billing, select Invite an Extra Member.
- Review the terms and plan change, then agree and subscribe.
- Enter the invited person’s email and choose or create their profile. Disney’s flow may allow transfer of a qualifying existing Disney+ profile, subject to its profile restrictions.
Remove the person versus cancel the add-on
Removing or replacing the person attached to the Extra Member seat takes effect immediately, but it does not cancel the paid add-on: the seat becomes vacant and billing continues. To stop future charges, cancel the Extra Member add-on in the account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current Extra Member monthly billing period. The Extra Member can also remove themselves or sign up for their own subscription. Check Disney’s Extra Member instructions for the current account flow.
