Before you go, secure valid admission and a park reservation for DCA on the same date, then check the live calendar for ride status, hours, entertainment and seasonal events. Use this guide to choose experiences that suit your group and plan around height, access, dining and phone-service needs.
What is Disney California Adventure?
DCA brings Disney, Pixar and superhero stories to life through rides, character encounters, live entertainment, food and seasonal events. Its distinct areas include Cars Land, Avengers Campus and Paradise Gardens Park. The park’s official destination page is a useful starting point, but it is not a guarantee that every listed experience will operate during your visit.
For an overview, Disney’s attraction listing includes thrill rides, family attractions, character experiences and shows. Examples include Incredicoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania!, The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure and World of Color presentations. Check the listing and the park calendar for your date; hours, showtimes and attraction status can change.
Admission, reservations and how many days to plan
Disney says each guest should have valid admission and a park reservation for the same park on the same date. A reservation is subject to availability, so check the official reservation calendar before finalizing plans.
#1 Best Overall
Disney’s 2026 planning guidance recommends at least three days to explore both Disneyland Resort parks at a relaxed pace. That is a suggestion, not an admission requirement or a guarantee of a particular itinerary. A Park Hopper ticket allows a visit to a second park on the same day; whether that suits your group depends on available reservation options, budget and how much time you want in each park. Check Disney’s current ticket information for prices and terms, which can vary.
Choose attractions for your group
Start with the people in your party: note height eligibility, appetite for thrills, sensory considerations and any transfer or mobility needs. Disney’s attraction pages provide attraction-specific requirements and access information. The examples below are height minimums shown on Disney’s listing; confirm the current listing for the attraction and visit date.
Rank #2
| Attraction | Height minimum | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Incredicoaster | 48 in. (122 cm) | Review Disney’s current ride description and sensory details if high-speed motion or coaster effects may be a concern. |
| Grizzly River Run | 42 in. (107 cm) | Consider the water-ride experience and check current attraction access information. |
| Radiator Springs Racers | 40 in. (102 cm) | Check current height and transfer information before joining the queue. |
| Soarin’ Across America | 40 in. (102 cm) | Review the current attraction and sensory details, including motion and effects. |
These examples are not a complete ride guide. Disney’s live attraction listing is the source for current requirements, including whether guests may remain in a wheelchair or ECV or need to transfer for a particular experience. Do not assume access details are the same across rides.
Accessibility and sensory planning
Disney publishes pre-arrival accessibility guidance, park-specific guide maps, sensory experience information and details about attraction access. Its accessibility information also covers services such as Rider Switch and Disability Access Service, mobility-device rentals and selected American Sign Language interpreted offerings. Check the current guidance for your needs and confirm schedules close to your visit; interpreter offerings rotate between parks on specified days.

For a specific attraction, consult both its access information and the sensory details rather than relying on a park-wide assumption. This helps you assess the combination of movement, darkness, loud sounds, water or effects that may matter to your party.
Dining, the Disneyland app and useful services
Disney says guests can make dining reservations or use the Disneyland app to order food and snacks. Mobile ordering is offered at selected locations, and mobile merchandise checkout is available at participating shops; neither service is available everywhere. Check the app and Disney’s guest-services directory for current locations and service details.
Rank #4
The directory also lists portable phone-charging kiosks, stroller rentals and bottle-filling stations. A power bank can be a convenient optional backup if you expect to rely on your phone, but it is not essential for every visit. Check the directory for kiosk, rental and filling-station locations before you go.
