Spoilers for the end of Deadpool & Wolverine. Yes. The film has a tribute montage during the credits and a separate post-credits scene. The final scene is a comic payoff about Johnny Storm, not a confirmed teaser for a future Marvel movie.
How many credits scenes are there?
There are two distinct credits moments, but only one is a post-credits scene. A montage plays during the credits; after the credits, the film returns for a Johnny Storm reveal. Calling both moments “post-credits scenes” conflates their placement and purpose.

What happens in the post-credits scene?
Deadpool shows footage demonstrating that Johnny Storm really did say the insulting things Deadpool had attributed to him earlier in the film. The footage backs up Deadpool’s story, turning their running dispute into the scene’s punchline. ComicBook.com; GamesRadar+
Is it a sequel or Avengers tease?
No future-film setup is established by the scene. GamesRadar+ describes it as lacking the usual tease for an upcoming movie; its function is to resolve a joke within Deadpool & Wolverine, rather than announce a new plot thread. GamesRadar+
#1 Best Overall
- Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake yet. His days as Deadpool behind him, a listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. But when his homeworld is threatened, he reluctantly suits up as he tries to convince Wolverine? oh hell, just watch. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.
Do you need to know the earlier films?
No. The essential context is contained in this film: Deadpool has been talking about Johnny Storm and what Johnny said. Director Shawn Levy told the Associated Press that the movie was built for entertainment “with no obligation to come prepared with prior research.” His remarks address the film’s general accessibility, not this scene specifically. - Marvel fans assemble, because threesomes are better. This Deadpool 3-Movie Collection gives you “Deadpool,” “Deadpool 2” and “Deadpool & Wolverine.” In the movie that started all this nonsense, you’ll meet Wade Wilson and find out what in the h-e-double hockey sticks happened to his face. In the second flick, follow everyone’s favorite antihero when something worse than his face happens. And in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” well, all is lost. It’s a Deadpool extravaganza for some well-deserved alone time. You’re welcome.
