The reports say he was abroad and not at home when three suspects entered through a front window. The $8.4 million figure attached to the property in one headline is not an established purchase price or appraisal.
What happened at the Los Feliz home
The Associated Press reported that Los Angeles police responded on June 25, 2025, to a burglary at a residence in the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street in Los Feliz. CBS Los Angeles reported the approximate incident time as 10:30 p.m., citing police. According to the police account in those reports, three suspects entered through a front window, ransacked the home and left with miscellaneous property.
News reports identified the residence as Pitt’s, but LAPD did not officially identify the occupant. The connection to Pitt should therefore be understood as reported by media outlets, not confirmed by police.
How the burglary date relates to the London premiere
Pitt attended the London premiere of F1: The Movie on June 23, 2025. The burglary was reported for the night of June 25. Reports said Pitt was abroad and was not home during the break-in; the premiere was not taking place on the night of the burglary.

What the $8.4 million figure means
PerthNow used an $8.4 million figure for the home in its 2025 headline, but did not explain a valuation method. The Associated Press separately reported that Pitt reportedly bought the property for $5.5 million in April 2023, attributing that transaction figure to Traded. These figures describe different claims: the available reporting does not establish the basis or date for the $8.4 million valuation, and the reported 2023 purchase price is not a current appraisal.
Arrests and what is known about the case
ABC News reported on August 12, 2025, that four people had been arrested in connection with the burglary. Investigators reportedly believed the crew targeted wealthy areas rather than Pitt specifically. ABC News said the case was to be presented to the district attorney for a charging decision; that report does not establish whether charges were later filed or whether anyone was convicted. ABC7 Los Angeles also reported the arrests and said detectives believed the crew was linked to other break-ins.
