Yes. In early August 2024, multiple outlets reported that unreleased Arcane season-two episodes had appeared online, about three months before the season’s November 9 premiere. Netflix confirmed that a post-production partner had been compromised and that footage from several titles had leaked, but it did not name Arcane in the statement quoted at the time. The season has since premiered on Netflix.
What leaked, and what did Netflix confirm?
The Los Angeles Times reported on August 9, 2024, that unreleased episodes from several shows had leaked following a security breach at a Netflix production partner. Netflix said: “One of our post production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online.” The company added: “Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down.” The Los Angeles Times report said Arcane season-two episodes were among the affected material, citing IGN; Netflix’s quoted statement did not identify the titles.
TheWrap reported on August 8, citing IGN, that five season-two episodes of Arcane had appeared on social media. That count was a contemporaneous media report, not an official Netflix tally. Engadget also reported that multiple episodes were affected but said the exact number was unclear at the time. The reports do not establish that the entire season leaked.

What is known about the security breach?
The Los Angeles Times also quoted Iyuno, a dubbing and subtitling provider, as saying it was “aware of a recent security issue, involving access to confidential content” and was actively investigating. The available reporting does not establish the breach’s precise technical method, a definitive chain of custody, or the identity of an attacker. Those details should not be treated as confirmed.

Arcane is based on Riot Games’ League of Legends and is produced by Fortiche Production in partnership with Riot Games, according to Netflix Tudum. Tudum describes season two as the story’s conclusion. Co-creator Christian Linke said: “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ARCANE wraps up with this second season.”

The early leak reports therefore concerned unreleased material from the season that was planned to conclude the series. Netflix’s official listing remains the reference for the show and its availability.
