A May 2025 TikTok confrontation at Finns Beach Club in Bali divided viewers over whether a customer was entitled to a refund for an entire night after he said he found a hair in his burger and fries. The alleged hair was not independently verified in the reporting, and the available sources do not establish a later incident-specific statement from the venue.
What happened at Finns Beach Club?
In a May 12, 2025 report, PerthNow journalist Amy Cavender identified the customer as Connor Jevons, a 26-year-old from Liverpool. The report described a video in which Jevons showed a manager footage from the previous day of a burger and fries, pointing to what he said was a hair. Jevons said he had not asked for replacement food when it was served because he had been drinking and did not want to cause a problem.
According to Jevons’s account as reported by PerthNow, the table had spent roughly 7.8 million Indonesian rupiah, or about A$730 at the time. This was his reported estimate, not an independently checked bill or a current currency conversion. He asked for the whole night’s spending back. The manager asked whether he wanted reimbursement for the food; staff declined his request for a full-night refund. In the video’s reported sequence, staff then asked him to leave, and security escorted him out after he did not leave while continuing to ask for reimbursement. PerthNow’s May 12 report transcribed Jevons telling the manager, “I will not post this video as long as we sort this situation out,” and later saying, “I want all the money back, not just the food but for the whole night.”
Was there really hair in the food?
The reporting establishes that Jevons said he saw a hair in the food and showed a video he said depicted it. It does not independently establish that the meal was contaminated. The available sources also do not show that Finns admitted fault or that a regulator investigated the complaint.

Why did he want a full refund?
Jevons sought the table’s entire reported spend for the night, rather than reimbursement limited to the burger and fries. The reporting does not provide a fuller explanation of why he considered a whole-night refund appropriate. Staff declined that request after asking whether he wanted reimbursement for the food.
Why did viewers disagree?
PerthNow reported mixed reactions in the comments: some viewers considered a refund for the food fair but a refund for the entire night excessive, while others praised Jevons for confronting the venue. That was a reported sample of online comments, not a representative poll. PerthNow said the video had more than one million views and Jevons had around 100,000 TikTok followers at the time of its May 2025 report; those are dated figures, not current metrics.

The debate turned on two separate judgments: what remedy was proportionate for an allegedly affected meal, and whether asking for the full table spend was reasonable. Viewers could agree that the food complaint deserved attention while disagreeing about the refund’s scope or Jevons’s approach.

Its general terms and conditions describe circumstances in which management may remove guests for conduct-rule breaches or excessive nuisance. Those general policies do not explain the refund decision or establish why security removed Jevons in this specific case.
