Who designed Addison Rae’s 2026 Grammys dress?
The gown was custom-made by Alaïa, rather than identified as an off-the-rack style. Vogue credited stylist Dara Allen with dressing Rae for the red carpet. Vogue’s February 1, 2026 report described the look, and the Associated Press account from the same day independently noted the dramatic neckline and unusual skirt proportions.
What made the gown stand out?
A neckline that reached her navel
The gown’s deep scoop neckline was the most striking feature. The Associated Press described it as reaching Rae’s navel; Vogue also emphasized the plunging cut. Marie Claire reported that the neckline extended below the belly button.
A sculptural skirt and uneven hem
The skirt was voluminous and triangular in shape, with an asymmetrical hem that fell longer in front and shorter behind. Marie Claire connected the skirt’s tulip-like pannier shape to Alaïa’s Spring 2026 runway collection. These details made the dress architectural as well as revealing: the long front and shorter back changed its silhouette from different angles.
