Spoilers for Season 2, Episode 4. Daryl and Carol reunite during Genet’s assault on the Nest in “La Paradis Pour Toi,” the fourth episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. “Reunited at Last” captures the episode’s central payoff, but it is not the episode’s listed title.
What happens in Episode 4?
“La Paradis Pour Toi” brings Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier together in France as Genet’s forces attack the Nest. They enter the crisis from opposite sides: Daryl is with the Union of Hope, while Carol is behind enemy lines with Genet’s group. Episode-specific coverage describes their reunion during the assault, making the episode’s emotional center a meeting shaped by the danger closing in around them.
The episode’s circumstances reflect the season’s larger conflict. Carol has been searching for Daryl, while Daryl is wrestling with whether to stay in France. AMC framed those opposing situations as a source of tension at the Nest, with Genet’s movement on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope.
When do Daryl and Carol reunite?
They reunite during Genet’s assault on the Nest in Episode 4. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, described the emotional focus of the moment in an interview with TheWrap published October 21, 2024: “The world just starts spinning on mute and the only thing that matters are those two people right there.”
