Fleischer has also described a fourth film as a globetrotting magical adventure, but it was still being written in his account—not announced with a release date.
Why Thaddeus Bradley’s death matters to the story
The film’s official title is Now You See Me: Now You Don’t; “Now You See Me 3” is shorthand for the third installment. In an interview reported by Yahoo, Fleischer said the filmmakers chose to kill Thaddeus Bradley as part of the plot’s scheme. The decision gives the story a jail-scene confrontation between Harrelson’s and Pike’s characters, which Fleischer described as “one of the most powerful and certainly dramatic scenes in the movie.”
Fleischer acknowledged that viewers might find the death difficult to accept. The reported explanation is about the dramatic purpose of the scene; it does not establish that the death is a fake-out or that Thaddeus will return.
What Fleischer has said about a fourth film
Fleischer described the next installment as being at a very early stage, with the story still in development through writing. “We have a really, really fun adventure plan for them that we’re still in the writing process on,” he told Yahoo. The concept he outlined continues the story of the eight magicians through “globetrotting magical adventures involving some heists and some performances.”

Variety reported that Now You See Me 4 was in development and Fleischer would return to direct. That trade-reported status and the director’s description of the writing process point to a planned sequel, not a finished film or a production timetable. Neither report establishes a release date or a completed script.
