Brad Rutter is first on the official all-time winnings leaderboard, which includes tournament prizes. The figures below were checked October 4, 2026; the official tracker is dynamic, so rankings and totals may change.

Why rankings differ between record lists
Jeopardy! winners can earn money in regular-season games and in tournaments. A regular-season ranking counts the former; an all-time winnings ranking adds tournament prizes. That distinction explains why Rutter leads cumulative winnings even though Jennings leads regular-season winnings. To see how individual tournament results contribute to lifetime totals, consult the official Champions Archive alongside the Leaderboard of Legends.
Older articles may show different lifetime totals because contestants returned for later tournaments. For example, a 2019 release listed Rutter at $4,688,436 and Jennings at $3,370,700; those were figures from before subsequent events, not the current totals.
