Spoilers: Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov, and Anna Delvey (Anna Sorokin) and Ezra Sosa, were eliminated on “Oscars Night,” the first elimination episode of Dancing With the Stars season 33. The September 24, 2024 episode also had a clear high point: Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong earned the night’s top score, 24 out of 30, for their rumba to “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie.
Who went home in the week-two double elimination?
Tori Spelling and her professional partner, Pasha Pashkov, and Anna Delvey (Anna Sorokin) and her partner, Ezra Sosa, were the two couples sent home. The season premiere had not eliminated anyone, making the September 24 episode the season’s first cut—and sending two pairs out at once.

The scores depend on which comparison you mean. Tell-Tale TV’s episode-night score list gives Spelling and Pashkov 19 points and Delvey and Sosa 17. Good Morning America reports their combined totals across the first two nights as 36 and 35, respectively. Those two-night totals are not the scores they received on Oscars Night.
What was the standout performance?
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong’s rumba
Kinney and Armstrong danced a rumba to “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie. Good Morning America reported that they earned 24 out of 30, the highest score of the episode. Their combined score across the first two nights was 47; that figure covers both performances, not just the rumba.

The night’s leading score made for a sharp contrast with the double elimination: one couple topped the judges’ leaderboard while two others left. But the score list alone does not explain the audience vote or establish why a particular couple was eliminated.

What happened during the eliminations?
After the results were announced, Julianne Hough asked Delvey what she would take away from the competition. Delvey answered, “Nothing,” as reported by the Associated Press and Tell-Tale TV. The brief response came in the context of her elimination and the question about her experience on the show.

Spelling, by contrast, described her experience as “unbelievable,” according to Good Morning America. The outlet also reported her message to her children: “I love you. You can do anything you put your mind to.”
