In a PEOPLE interview published August 28, 2024, Jeremy Jackson reflected on the addiction he said began during his teenage years, his time in prison, and why he took part in After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun. Jackson, who played Hobie on Baywatch, described the experience in his own terms; his comments are a retrospective account, not a current medical or legal update.
What Jeremy Jackson said about addiction
Jackson said he was cast as Hobie, David Hasselhoff’s son on Baywatch, when he was a child. In the PEOPLE interview, he recalled struggling with addiction as a teenager and concealing his crystal meth use from people around him. Those details reflect Jackson’s account in the interview and documentary, rather than an independently established clinical history.
He described addiction as something that “tangled me all up in knots.” Reflecting on secrecy, he said, “we are only as sick as our secrets.” He also recalled the consequences in stark terms: “I was spiraling down for sure. My life slipped through my hands like sand.”
What he said about prison and Nicole Eggert
The interview says Nicole Eggert visited Jackson in prison in 2017, when he was serving time connected to his involvement in an alleged stabbing. The account preserves the allegation; the interview material does not independently establish the details of the case.
