1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAs of October 4, 2026, ABC’s schedule for The View’s October 5–9 broadcasts lists guests but does not say which co-hosts will appear each day. It therefore does not confirm that Alyssa Farah Griffin will be absent or give a reason. The recent health update is about Griffin’s infant son, not her own health or a reported work absence.
Does ABC say Griffin is missing this week?
No. ABC’s October 2 schedule release names guests for the week of October 5–9 and notes that the schedule is subject to change, but it does not provide a day-by-day co-host roster or explain an absence. The release is not evidence that Griffin will miss the broadcasts.

ABC identifies Griffin as a co-host in its cast biography. Its September 2026 announcement also named her among the six co-hosts returning for the Season 30 premiere. Neither item establishes her attendance on a particular day this week.
Whose health is the recent update about?
The September 24 report from Parade concerns Griffin’s son, Justin Jr., and his recovery from craniofacial surgery. Reporting on Griffin’s conversation with executive producer Brian Teta on Behind the Table, Parade said her son underwent surgery in May and wore a protective helmet while healing. Griffin said, “He’s great. He’s made a perfect, full recovery.”

That update does not say Griffin is unwell, and it does not connect her son’s recovery to her schedule on The View.

ABC’s weekly guest announcements do not necessarily identify the co-hosts appearing each day. For the latest attendance information, check The View’s official channels or a direct statement from Griffin; the October 2 schedule alone cannot settle the question.

ABC announced that the Season 30 premiere would air live on ABC and stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu. That announcement describes the premiere arrangement, not a guarantee about the availability of every episode.
