Jennifer Aniston is reported to own homes in Bel Air, Los Angeles, and Montecito, California. Recent reporting confirms she was at the Bel Air property in May 2025, while a 2025 report said work was underway at her Montecito farmhouse. Neither establishes which home is her principal residence now, so the clearest answer is that both are documented properties—not that she has definitively moved from one to the other.
What is known about Jennifer Aniston’s homes today?
Architectural Digest’s portfolio account says Aniston still owns her Bel Air home, which she bought in 2012. She also bought a Montecito farmhouse from Oprah Winfrey in 2022. The Associated Press reported that Aniston was at her Bel Air home during an incident there in May 2025; that establishes her presence on that occasion, not her usual residence.
Realtor.com reported in 2025 that work was underway at the Montecito home and that it was unclear whether Aniston would continue using Bel Air as her main residence after the work. That report did not confirm a move. Available reporting does not settle which property, if either, is her principal residence today.
Bel Air: a midcentury home designed by A. Quincy Jones
Architectural Digest describes the Bel Air property as a 1965 home designed by architect A. Quincy Jones. Aniston reportedly bought it in 2012 for $20.97 million. The Associated Press described the property as a midcentury mansion on a 3.4-acre lot.

For the interiors, Aniston worked with designer Stephen Shadley and designers Kathleen and Tommy Clements and Jane Hallworth. Architectural Digest reports that the home’s original renovation by Frederick Fisher had a cool, minimal character that did not suit Aniston’s taste; the later design work aimed to make the spaces feel more comfortable and inviting. Aniston summed up her priorities in the feature: “Sexy is important, but comfort is essential.”
Montecito: the farmhouse bought from Oprah Winfrey
Architectural Digest reported that Aniston bought the Mediterranean-style farmhouse from Oprah Winfrey in 2022 for $14.8 million. The publication describes it as 4,320 square feet, with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as ocean and mountain views, terraces, gardens and a private lot. These are reported property details, not independently verified current measurements.

Earlier homes: Beverly Hills, Malibu and New York
Some homes associated with Aniston in older coverage are part of her past, not evidence of where she lives now. Architectural Digest reports that she bought a Harold W. Levitt-designed Beverly Hills house in 2006 for $13.5 million, called it Ohana, listed it for $42 million and eventually sold it in 2011 for $38 million. The property had a Balinese-inspired renovation and entertaining spaces.

Those rentals and former properties should not be confused with the Bel Air and Montecito homes reported in her current portfolio.
