How the Frozen parody worked
The song’s central question became “Do you want to be an actor?” That shift connected the recognizable Frozen melody to the evening’s celebration of performers. Netflix quotes Bell singing, “It can be a bumpy ride,” “Sometimes there’s no stability,” and “Put aside your pride. But everybody started somewhere as we do.” These are reported excerpts, not a complete verified transcript.
As Bell sang, screens showed nominees in early roles. The montage gave the number its documentary-like hook: familiar performers appeared in glimpses from before the roles for which many viewers now know them. TIME’s recap reports examples including Kieran Culkin in Home Alone, Jodie Foster in a Coppertone ad, Timothée Chalamet as an ICU patient, and Jason Segel eating watermelon. Those are selected examples, not an exhaustive list of the images shown.

Why the number fit the ceremony
The lyrics framed acting as a career that can be uncertain and difficult, while the montage showed that even celebrated performers began in small or unexpected parts. The result was a warm, self-aware opening that joined a song audiences could recognize to the awards’ focus on actors and their work.
Bell was hosting the SAG Awards for the second time; her first hosting appearance was in 2018, according to the official host announcement. The ceremony was later renamed the Actor Awards, but “SAG Awards” is the historically accurate name for the 2025 event.
